Now that was pretty funny! Guess Discord isn't the only one who can reform and still maintain his onery nature! Loved how they used the classic Engineered Public Confession combined with turning on Gladmane's only intercom! Nothing beats tricks like that!

Anyway, looks like it'll be Twilight and Rainbow Dash's turn next. I wonder where the map will send them.

Also, since I only had a single look, was it established whether or not Las Pegasus in on clouds? I ask because there was an abundant amount of Earth ponies there.

I enjoyed this one!

We finally get an episode pony villain who is not reformable and is genuinely, contemplatively and unrepentantly bad. It's a major move forward for how the show handles its antagonists and a welcome one.

This was, IMO at least, My Little Pony's answer to the TV show Hussle, about a group of confidence tricksters who use their skills to fight crime. Naturally, into a concept like this, Flim and Flam fitted perfectly. I particularly appreciate them ending the episode unreformed. Antagonists helping for their own selfish benefit rather than turning to the Light gives them a lot more depth and means that their future appearances will have this tension as to on which side they'll be this time.

If this episode had a flaw, it was this: the MLP episode length doesn't really allow to fully develop a how the heroes set up and deliver a triple-cross like this one. This reduced the quality of schadenfreude that you get at seeing the bad guy hoist by his own wrongdoing in the end.

Oh... and I felt that Applejack and Fluttershy explaining to the audience how they did it at the end was a bit redundant and suggests that the writers didn't entirely trust the audience to have figured that part out themselves.

However, these were quibbles in what was an otherwise wonderfully-characterised and -plotted episode. Combined with Kevin and Doc's sterling work on The Times They Are A Changeling, this suggests to me that we may have a new star writing team here on MLP.

A fine episode! It ranks with my favourites of the season!

Well that was enjoyable, even though I missed 5 minutes of the episode.

I'm glad we got to see a new place in this episode. I can imagine a lot of writers creating stories of Las Pegasus. Also it was nice to see Flim Flam bros again, the last time we saw them was in the wrecked timeline and I'm happy to know that they didn't just drop their ways and became good. They could never be good with names like Flim Flam.

Overall I enjoyed this episode.

This has definitely inspired some art I must get commissioned.
