Right. I've mostly gotten used to night shift now. Learning new stuff... and learning the 'correct' ways to do old things 
Been ups, and a few downs, being charge of people and a machine - seriously, at times beating my head against a brick wall would have been:
(a) more productive
(b) slightly more fun
On the home front, my PC's CPU cooling fan has packed up, so that accelerated my plans on spending (way-too-much) on an ultrabook. Yes I know CPU fans are dirt cheap these days, I just needed an excuse. Got a bit of carpel tunnel in my wrist, there's not enough beer/coffee in and I'm still waking up way too early in the morning - really need some blackout curtains.
But mostly, I'm doing okay.
And now onto what you are waiting for - the status of the chapter 
The chapter is 'mostly' done (stop me if you've heard this before) just working on one scene.
I had plans, such good plans, and then I started writing.
I believe the quote is: No plan survives first contact with the enemy - or in my case, the keyboard.
The chapter -IS- coming, it's just having the time when I'm 'compos mentis' enough.
Soooo... how's the chapter been shaping up in the fortnight since this last blog post?

Final read through tomorrow before I post it to editor. This weekend it IS going to Greynoise for editing no matter what! I will post a blog when I do that.
Ugh, work is manic atm. Understaffed, overworked etc... So I've been doing overtime!
11 hour shifts kinda takes it outta you let me tell you. At least it will help pay for the new laptop as I'm paid by the hour.
