Little writing excerise: Celestia's Oldest Friend · 6:52pm Sep 12th, 2016
The tea set was out, and both cups were ready; hers with extra sugar, his without any additives. He always did prefer bitter drinks. She glanced outside as the night sky. It'd be a few hours before dawn, and all was quiet. Celestia fluffed up her feathers, fore it always seemed to grow colder upon his arrival.
When she turned back from the window there he was. On the other side of her relatively small snack table sat a cloaked figure. It looked ancient, and ragged, but it served its purpose. Very few had ever seen what lays underneath. The cup by him was already empty. "I guess it's been awhile since someone has hosted your arrival," said Celestia with a soft smile. If one stayed completely silent and listened closely they may hear a low rumbling from the creature, a speech unlike any language in the world. Celestia raised the kettle and poured him another cup as he spoke. The two would continue their conversation until it was nearly dawn, simply exchanging notes as most friends would. When the time arrived Celestia stood, went to her window, and raised the morning sun. She didn't have to look back to know he was now gone.
There once was an old, grey goat that had served as the royal gardener for several decades. On this morning a servant would try to wake up, but fail. He would never awaken again.
Celestia had seen much in her time. Hundreds... thousands... millions have passed in her wake. Nations have started, risen, decayed, and ended before her eyes. The world itself has changed in the millennia she has existed. Even her sister had gone through several phases, and had to be removed for awhile. There has been a single constant. A single being that has walked the world along with her without changing. Others have feared or shunned this being. But for Celestia, who has completely accepted the laws that govern the universe, he is simply a needed part of the world. She neither cries, begs, nor demonizes him. She simply welcomes the chance to see her oldest friend.
A little scene idea I've had for awhile. For some reason I've always liked the idea that Celestia and Death would be friends. And it seems natural that an avatar of harmony would be accepting of the spirit of death.
And then they fucked?
No Granny Smith?

Are you being sarcastic

If you fuck death in just the right way, he might find things too awkward to ever want to see you again.
Free immortality, baby.
