    Goodbye, Oberst

So I just got home from work a few minutes ago, and the first thing I learned upon walking in the door was...that our Boston Terrier, Oberst, had passed away while I was at work.

    11/01/2016 - Still Kicking It

Hey everyone. It's been about two weeks since I said anything (or posted new chapters, for that matter). My plan, of course, is to keep writing for the foreseeable future, but it'll be mostly when the muse strikes me. A recent emotional upheaval of my own making has sidelined me, and it's going to take some time before I recover fully from that (if at all). I haven't not been writing; I've

News before bed - 10/17/16 NEO EDITION

    GOOD NEWS, EVERYONE!

First, you heard that in Professor Farnsworth's voice. Secondly, writing is seriously happening now because I finally got my...ALPHASMART NEO! WOOOOO! :rainbowwild:

Here is a picture of what said device looks like (picture not mine):

    Yes I am making words I live - 10/03/16

Re: title. I am not dead horse. I am currently writing Chapter Six of The True Shape as we speak, a little bit at a time, chipping away at the marble to find the sculpture within. And when I do finish that, I'll be working on the next chapter of One For The Archives. I don't have and won't have a set schedule, as that kind of time pressure is too much and will only make my writing suffer. I'll do

    News before bed 09/18/16

Y'all probably already saw it, but I posted the sex scene that was not shown in Chapter Five of 'One For The Archives'. The clop is in the story tagged to this blog.

Oh, and I finally started writing Chapter Eight of 'One For The Archives'. Finally. Got some words written, at least. Will do more tomorrow after work. Love you all. Snug your lovebugs. Kiss all changelings.

FimFiction? More like ChangelingFiction, AMIRITE? · 12:33pm Sep 9th, 2016

So, yeah, I've definitely been doing my part to contribute to the recent flood of changeling fics. I'm guessing that a lot of it has to do with 'The Times They Are A Changeling' (which I still need to watch, shame on me). You won't find me complaining, that's for sure. For the little screen time they get, changelings sure do get a lot of attention when it comes to stories and art. Part of it is that we know so little about them, and our innate desire to know more about them, to construct a narrative about these creatures, compels us to do just that: to write their stories.

And beyond that, there's a rather unearthly, alien beauty to the changeling race. True, I have seen some rather grotesque and horrific depictions of them in fan art, but those depictions that don't deviate too far from their show appearance...mmmmm~

I can't help myself. I am attracted to changelings, even more so than I am to ponies. Chrysalis is just absolutely stunning and you can bet I'd be on my knees before her, eager to obey my queen.

To all of you who read this: keep it up! Keep on writing changeling fics and making changeling art. I love it, and I'm far from alone in my feelings. BUZZZZZZZZ

Sincerely,
A changeling Arta

I have to agree there, I find changelings downright cute. I think it's partially the eyes, when they are wide open, they just look incredibly adorable.

Meanwhile, more serious depictions make them look downright badass.

All in all, never too many changeling stories.

If only there were more stories featuring changelings and my other favourite race, gryphons, working together.

And yes, Chryssie is amazing. Of be her moist loyal subject anytime and beg to be converted into a changeling in a heartbeat.

*lassoes and hugs* Can't let any changelings go without assume huggles. :3

You know, I'm very tempted to have Arta become a changeling; the only thing holding me back is that as a pony she's able to feed love to Chrysalis, and I'd never deny Chryssy a food source. I do have plans of that nature for Tarnished Relic in 'The True Shape', but with the different interpretation of changelings it's not quite the same.

4205986 Yay, happy 'ling!

I think it's better to leave Arta a pony, maybe with other equipment to make it easier for her to move around the hive, like horseshoes that let her stick to walls, etc. Changing her into a changeling would undermine her as a proof that ponies and changelings can love together in peace, and that changelings can feed without causing harm. Plus, one should never have change him or herself so drastically for love.

In the True Shape it makes more sense, since changelings ate supposed to be the target form for all the creatures in the world. Though, I wonder if gryphons will turn into gryphonlings, that'd look hella cute.
