Just a bit ago, I was talking with a friend of mine on the phone about Melody of the Future, specifically about X and Zero's "destined" rules. As we were talking about it, he offered me a really hilarious line.
"X is Pheonix Wright".
This led to a rather hilarious discussion which ended with the idea of X as Pheonix Wright, Sigma as Miles Edgeworth, Octavia as the Defendant, and Zero as the Judge presiding over the case.
I would love to see this as an image. So much so that, if anyone is willing to provide it in some way, shape, or form, I will write a chapter of the story based around the image. Have a plan for it and everything.
OBJECTION! Zero is far too fabulous with his fabulous hair to be the Judge! Truly, it is Zero who must be Miles Edgeworth, and Sigma needs an overly-definately-fake beard! Signas could be Gumshoe.

But Zero, in canon for the story, is "the Judge" who decides the fate of the world.
Pfft oh god. I think it would be funny if they all ended up doing that "Pheonix Wright Boot To Da Head" skit. That would make a VERY funny omake or something like that. A little bit of fun that everyone would get a laugh at, and at the same time show that Zero and X have a VERY good sense of humor.
Either that, or they unintentionally pull off something similar to Abbot And Costello's "Who's On First" skit.

OBJECTION! Your honor, it is obvious that a picture with at least two-to-three adorable female characters should be arguing over what Zero's role should be, while X is trying to memorize his lines, and Zero is constantly flustered.
Phoenix Wright PWNY story confirmed? Probably not, but I still want one...

... That seems remarkably out of place. If anything, Zero would be Edgeworth (they both have their own spin-off series), Sigma would be the witness who's actually the one at fault, and the judge would be Octavia since she's basically calling all the shots at this point.

4161200 Hmm, but the judge in the games is impartial. Zero is on the Maverick Hunters' side from the start. Besides, it's only when attorney and prosecutor work in tandem that the truth is revealed for all to see. Comparing a self-imposed theme with a high-paying occupation is only a marginal parallel to draw in comparison with taking a person's personality, drive, and overall character arc into account (They're both rivals of a sort with the main character, they strive to understand what seeking the truth really means, have their own spin-offs, and have a tendency for girls to pine for them). In such a case, I withdraw my previous statement and submit that Octavia would be better suited as co-counsel (helpful when it really matters, provides deus ex machina when necessary, quirky in their own right while being unique characters that cause people to say "Aww," while I just think "... Eh?" What can I say, I'm more of a Kay Faraday fan anyways).

The image request and plan for the chapter inspired by it is less about how well the characters fit the roles assigned in the picture and more about how the characters see themselves and each other.

He's pretty much incompetent from the get-go, always getting his hand held in some way or another. But then during the 3rd act, once he learns of his overall setbacks, he sets out to be competent... and he sort of does.

He doesn't do anything completely ground-breaking, but he is pretty helpful in determining this one guy's guilt. So yeah, I'd have to say Sigma's almost the perfect expy of Debeste... except, you know, he's not as much of a spaz.
