Two years.
That's about how long it's been since I last made a blog post. Even longer since I've posted any form of writing here. I've had a lot of ideas in that timeframe, written some stuff for other fandoms, and dabbled more in trying to improve my mediocre skills at drawing. I've graduated high school, traveled to another nation, and currently am preparing to travel back to my home country to attend university.
Basically, shit's changed and stuff.
Looking back on this account and the stories it holds has given me a wave of nostalgia, followed shortly by a wave of embarrassment. Pretty much everything here needs a thorough editing, and some of it a total overhaul. Despite the fact that my motivation to write is still significantly more fickle than a cat standing halfway out a door, I'm going to work my way down my stories and give them a bit of polish. I'll probably still cringe when I look at them because I could suddenly create the next Michelangelo's David and I'd still think it was fucking terrible, but at least they'll be a little better.
I'll be starting by editing Don't Remind Me, which is why this blog is tagged for that story. From there my current plan of action is to edit Those Forgotten, edit The Parable of the Pony, overhaul My Sunshine and finally overhaul Background Noise.
After that, I don't know. I've had an idea for a multi-chapter fic that I've been refining for almost the entire two years since I last posted. I've committed to starting to write it, though knowing that my motivation functions in about the same manner as a typewriter frozen in a block of ice has made me think it'll probably never see the light of day. If I do end up writing at least five chapters of it though, I'll make a blog at that point and weigh my options from there.
I'll also be posting a story for Rage Review's F*** This Prompt 13 pretty soon, which I am mostly only mentioning here so I can't cop out of it like I have for nearly every single other FTP so far. It'll be comedy based because that's one of the only things I'm decent at now, and also because it's fun to write that stuff.
That's about all I have to say. It kinda feels lame of me for editing news to be the only thing I post after nearly 700 days of silence, so, thank you to whoever has stuck around long enough to read this. Hopefully it won't be another 700 days before I make another blog this time.
