Hey everyone. Long time, no write, eh?
So, first off, let me just apologize right out. I'm really sorry I haven't been at all active on here for a long time. You probably don't need to hear my excuses. You've probably heard them before. So I'll just say I'm sorry. I hope I can be more active in the future, but it might be down a slightly different path...
Which brings us on to point 2! I suck at longform multi-chapter fics! I realize that now. Out of Body has crawled to a standstill and picking it back up again only looks more and more daunting by the day. This is now the third multi-chapter fic I've attempted, two of which failed miserably! Having it happen again was just so... disheartening. It sorta killed my motivation to write anything at all. Who knows, maybe I still will manage to finish that, but before I begin I need to get my groove back...
And that's point 3: I want to get back into writing ponewords, but clearly bashing my head uselessly against Out of Body isn't the way to go about it. I want to start writing oneshots again. Silly things, serious things... mostly silly things. I just want to write. I have plenty of ideas stored away to choose from, and just the thought of shifting my focus in that direction already feels so freeing. Don't expect me to pump out stories every day. My schedule IRL is still insanely busy. Still, expect me to at least start working on some silly stuff now and again...
Which leads into the final point. PrincessPrincessPrincess. This is... a story. Yes. It is certainly that. I wrote the story as a gift to a friend, but it's also ridiculous. It's way too long, way too stupid, and way too incoherent. So I guess you could say I wrote my first crackfic. And you know what? I had fun! That's all that matters at the end of the day. I had a smile on my face writing the whole damn thing. Can't complain.

By all means, write what you feel is fun to write. Fanfics are a labor of love, and they should be as enjoyable for the author as they are for the reader. If something isn't fun to write, it can seriously damage an author's morale. And as I've come to realize, morale is a precious resource in the land of pony words...
