A Couple of Things

So, a couple of things to talk about. First off, you may have noticed that I haven't updated anything at all in... a while. Like, a long while. There are several reasons.

The first is that I've been spending a lot of time improving my art skills. As much as I'd like to, I can't write and draw at the same time. I'm improving quite a bit, and the recently finished cover for EDM Death Machine backs that up. In fact, have some EDM CONCEPT ART, Harmony Hearts Concept Art, One I did for The Hat Man, Another One For Him, and A Thing I Somehow Did. Improving my art also means that, dig this, I'm learning to animate! I've had Anime Studio Debut for a while, but I could never get the hang of using puppet animation. Instead, I've opted for traditional, hand drawn animation... as well as learning to use puppets properly. So far, I've animated a pony run sequence and a bouncing ball. Not in that order.

The second reason is that my mind is starting to drift towards writing OF, or Original Fiction. I've already got a few projects planned, but they'll take a while to get off the ground. One of them is big.... I mean, Game of Thrones big. Now, this doesn't mean that I'm not writing FanFiction anymore, it just means that I'm also writing other stuff. As such, I won't writing as much FF. It's still happening, and I have a tone of stuff that needs wrapping up. After EDM DM, Blood for Blood, and Harmony Hearts are through, you can expect three more major projects from me, as well as a shitstorm of one-shots. A good few of them will be clop. I'm not going anywhere, cross my tender heart with a sharp blade.

The third reason is, I recently decided to pick up Caustic 3 again. For those who don't know, Caustic 3 is a professional digital music composition application for computers, tablets, and smartphones. Essentially, it's a digital sound studio. Anyways, I've delved back into the realm of electronic music production. You know, like dubstep and techno. I've gotten the hang of it pretty quickly, so I think I could do some decent work. I've already chosen a DJ name for myself! I'll be... DJ Bastet! Or just Bastet. Not sure yet. If you're unfamiliar with the name, look it up. It's an Egyptian cat goddess. Yes, goddess. I've even got a cute catgirl mascot already.

Speaking of mascots... You've probably noticed the new avatar. That's the second thing I wanted to talk about. For a while, I've felt like the persona I gave Roma (any version) doesn't quite suit me anymore. He is way too serious at times, mellow sometimes, but extremely lively and energetic other times. When he's not any of those, he's gentle and kind, or angry beyond all reason. Granted, all of these are traits I possess, but I don't switch between them very often anymore. I seem to have three modes these days, which I've divided into three characters: Gigi (get it? G.G.), Dizzy, and Bastet. Gigi, who you'll see above, represents the predominant side of me. He is the writer, tired and mellow, but kind and gentle. He'll exhaust himself looking at the other two, but still make time to write his stories. Dizzy, artist: the younger sister to the writer. Her skin is literally made of porcelain, and thus, she is incomplete; a soul without a body. She is soft-spoken and shy, and while her skin is cold, her heart is warm and accepting. Bastet, the youngest of the three. She is the musician, bold and excitable. She is suspicious of new people, but wants to make everyone happy. She's also really lazy, and sleeps in places she has no business sleeping. Seriously, Bastet, stop sleeping on the back of the couch.

These three characters are my new mascots. You may have figured that out already, but I digress.

Those are the things I wanted to talk about, and aside from changes frequency, things will be the same as they've always been with me.
