I'm sure by this point you're all aware of the shooting which took place in Orlando during the early hours of this morning, what most of you probably don't know is that I actually live in Orlando. The tension here is palpable. This morning everyone was terrified, my sister and I were bombarded with phone calls from various friends and relatives, looking to make sure that we were okay. Even still, now everyone just seems lost. People don't know what to do, and all of my friends on social media have been identified as safe. So I'm safe and relatively untouched by this shocking tragedy.
That being said, many of the victims are only a few years younger than me, and to hear that so many people were killed in such a senseless act of violence breaks my heart.
Be safe out there, people. I have nothing else to say.
Horrified to hear about the whole thing. Didn't know it was where you lived, but I'm glad to know you're safe and untouched. Keep being those things. Let me know if there's anything you need that I can do.

Thanks a lot. I actaully checked it out on Google maps, and I live 10.7 miles from where the shooting happened. Way too close to home for comfort.
