    BUGHORSE NEWS

Yes, I bring good news of Chrysalis story. I have finished the first draft of the next chapter and the editing team has already made a first pass on it. There's still a lot to do to polish it, but I'm hopeful that I can have it up and ready for your hungry eyes in one week. Keep a lookout!

    Life is Snow

No really, this isn't some vague metaphor. My life is literally snow right now. I'm drowning, send help.

    New year, new chapter

Hope everyone is having a great New Year's Eve (or if you're in a part of the world where it's already 2022, hope the new year's been treating you well so far). Good news: the next chapter of Paint the Sky is written, we just need to take it through a few rounds of edits and revisions before I'm ready to post it. It will probably go live at the usual time on Wednesday.

Zephyr Grif · 8:31pm Jun 5th, 2016

While watching "Flutter Brutter", I couldn't help but grin at the irony that Fluttershy's brother is a lazy slacker who will find creative and ridiculous ways to get out of doing work, considering who Fluttershy ends up forming a sibling-like bond with in I Against I, Me Against You.

In light of that, I decided to go and do something I will usually never even consider: I pulled a George Lucas. Yep, after watching the new episode, I went back and revisited a chapter of IAIMAY to make sure it doesn't conflict with new canon (the chapter originally mentioned that Flutters was an only child). Not only did this fix the obvious canon contradiction, I also believe it actually made the scene work better on multiple levels.

For those curious, the scene I'm talking about is in chapter 3-2: Trust is a Weakness when Fluttershy consoles Grif after telling him what happened to Sister (a little past halfway through). Give it a read if you feel like it, but don't feel obligated to. It's only about one paragraph different and the story ultimately plays out exactly the same, just a little bit better in my opinion. See, George Lucasing something isn't always terrible. But if I ever decide to go back and add a character screaming "NOOO!" for no reason, somebody please put me out of my misery. Wyoming shot first

On another note, the first chapter of the side story I've been working on is finished and edited, I'm just waiting to see whether my friend is going to be able to put together some cover art for me. Expect to see something of that in the next week or two!

Well, this makes the theory that Kaikaina used to be sweet and pure even more believeable. :trollestia:

I just saw the chapter. I was greatly dissappointed that Zephyr Breeze didn't have any orange.

Huh... how fitting.
