Wait... what?
As many of you know I am a huge Captain America fan. I mean look at my name and my avatar. As sad as it might be I based a lot of more morals and beliefs around Captain America because he was the ideal guy (also my dad was not around a lot as a kid but that is too much). He was the hero that other heroes looked up to, to be more like. So... what the hell has Marvel done?
I really just don't understand how they decide to make an icon such as Cap a villain. I mean this is the guy who can lift Thor's hammer and take the full Nova Force, tasks in the Marvel U that are considered to be next to impossible, but Cap has done it because he is pure of heart and mind. So how does this make him a Nazi?
I can go on, and on about why this is a stupid idea, but I want to tackle what I would like to see happen in the Marvel Universe after this discovery. I want it to get out somehow that Cap is Hydra, either everyone and their mother finds out or just a few supers who kind of spread the word. Of course everyone will be blown away by this and won't know what to do, except for two...
Punisher

US Agent 
I love both of these characters, US Agent is who I would probably be in the comics, very violent and doing whatever was right no mater the cost. While I can see him going full out on this issue, I want to see what the Punisher is going to do. Punisher has a ton of respect for Captain America, he is one of the reasons the Punisher went to Vietnam and has even taken up the mantle in the comics once to take out some Nazis. I think if the Punisher found out about this, the Captain America he knew and respected would be dead, and all that would be left to do is to put the body in the coffin.
At this moment, Punisher takes up his Captain America uniform again (please God with a different artist because the Earth 616 version was terrible, when the Ultimates did it, it was one of the few things I liked) and goes after Captain Hydra.
I really like the look of this costume (except for the skull, but I will get to that), its a great blend between the two costumes and hold a Cap element to it, but having a lot of Punisher to it. In finding Captain Hydra, Punisher will either kill Cap, Captain Hydra flees, or Sam Wilson the other Captain America comes in and arrests Captain Hydra or he still gets away. Now we get to the part I really like, having the Sam Wilson Captain America and the Frank Castle Captain America.
If you have not been reading the Captain America comics with Sam as Cap you are not missing much I regret to say. The writers don't seem to know Sam's backstory and have been using him as a political puppet, earning Sam the name 'Captain Socialist' by other fans and writers. Again, I hate the costume and just how much of the character's history they kind of skim over, but it kind of fits in what I want to see. The Falcon Captain America does have the shield, and has gotten really good with the thing after many fails (I do love that about the comics, they show how hard it is to throw that thing).
After the fall of Captain Hydra, I would want to see their fight on TV for some reason, the world sees that their are two Captain Americas and one of them is the Punisher. Now most people hate the Punsiher, or think he is as worse as any other villain because he kills everyone. Naturally many people would be against Frank Castle become Captain America, especially Falcon, but Frank does not care he marches to his own tune and will be Captain America if he wants.
This brings me to one of the points I would love to see if this happens, the idea of a left wing Captain America and a right wing Captain America running around. These two opposites fighting one another at any chance they get, but will team up for reasons... yeah. Just the idea of this would be great because it would reflect out society today where the left and right fight just to fight. As amazing as this would be, there is something I want to see more.
I want to see an evolution in Frank Castle.
I want him to realize over time that his way of justice is not that of a real Captain America, and he is the Punisher in a Halloween costume. He starts to try to be a Captain America, to be a hero like Cap. Yes, he would still use guns and such, but overtime his costume would evolve into a more Captain America like costume. Losing the skull of the Punisher at some point and fully taking the star. This to me would be the most amazing part, to see Punisher become Captain America and trying to live up to those ideals. Could be he keep a more military look, but he becomes Captain America, and will clash with the left wing Sam Wilson at times, but they begin to respect one another for the man they once idolized.

It's gonna turn out that it was all a ploy, whether or not that was their intention all along. It just is, that's how comic books work.

Wouldn't it also be totally unrealistic for Captain America to switch sides, even by acting as a double agent? I always thought about him as someone who sticks to his ideals and goes trough with them, never betraying them.
But I have to be honest, I'm probably not the most knowledgeable Captain America guy. I've only seen the recent movies except for Civil War. Nevertheless, Captain America and Hydra? No. Just no.
Why do I get the feeling that that's going to be the centre ground for the Civil War 2 comic? The sequel to a really bad comic which, somehow, made a great movie.

), is it possibla Captain Hydra's just a genetically engineered clone made by Hydra who soon starts to grow a concience and start to defect from them...

But yeah, realistically Cap's just going undercover. Plus, with the way Punisher is, I don't see him giving up his 'kill happy' ways. Honestly though, I like the Punisher! He's a dark edge that all of the super heroes in the Marvel Universe could have become, and it's interesting that not every hero in this Universe is all 'You're going to jail to think about what you've done' and stuff like that.
Now I'm not saying they should, before someone tells me about criminal rights and such, I'm just saying that it's not like there's no other heroes that have killed. Ghost Rider, Wolverine, Black Widow, Blade and any other villian turned hero. Punisher just embraces that he's not a good person and just runs with it. Plus, with some of these villians, I think it's for the best if they are put down. Some, probably, just aren't capable of turning over a new leaf.
To quote the DareDevil Netflix series: "You knock the bad guys down and they get right back up! I knock 'em down and they stay down!"

Honestly, I stopped reading after you presented the Punisher photo... You need a change, and I think Booster Gold is the hero for you. he definitely captures the American entrepreneurial spirit. Think about it, he's Rip Hunter's dad, he lives at the rock of eternity, he travels through time preventing the death of other super heroes... and Booster's only his nickname so it's entirely possible he's the wizard SHAZAM or he's actually the Captain America from the amalgam comics universe, I also have my suspicions that Animal Man is one of his clones, but that's just a theory.

3980789 Well to each their own. Don't let me tell you what to enjoy, there were some good parts, but it was the lead up to one of my most hated comics of all time, Spider-man One More Day, so I guess you can call me biased. And it constantly made Iron-man and the Pro-Registration side look like a bunch of villians by creating an unstable Thor clone that murdered Goliath! The movie set it up a lot better, is all I'm saying.
To be honest, I just don't like event comics mostly. There are some exceptions, but they mostly just mis-characterize the heroes in my opinion. (Seriously, Iron-man using villians to try and capture/kill Spider-man and Captain America! Way to ruin one of my favourite heroes, Marvel, really wants me want to keep buying your stuff.)
And I agree, Punisher going into kick some Nazi arse sounds pretty damn awesome! But, then again, I don't think he'd need Cap's inspiration for that. He'd go in anyway! Now a Neo Nazi rally that Captain Hydra was hosting? That'd be a show-down for sure!
You guys need to chill. Everything's obviously gonna pan out in a couple of issues if you guys have ever read a comic book arc before.
