Major Edit regarding Sunset's Little Twilight
Been meaning to get around to this for a while actually. Right now I'm making a few edits to earlier chapters, mostly fixing some of Applejack's early dialogue, but one thing in particular I need to fix is this paragraph:
“I would have, but Sunset Shimmer and the girls invited me to spend some time with them. Apparently there’s some holiday going on in their world that warrants a four-day weekend, and it just sounded too tempting to pass up! So I may have pushed a few things ahead to make sure my schedule was clear.”
Even when I first wrote this, it sounded contrived. Yes, four day weekends do very rarely occur, but this sounds far too convenient. Plus, at the time I wrote the first chapter, I only intended for this story to run the length of said weekend, since I couldn't figure out how to factor in them having to attend school.
That is no longer a problem, so I will be changing this to a regular three-day weekend.
Another thing I'm still tempted to do is try and tie this in to Made in Manehattan. The episode in question hadn't been announced yet, so when I picked Rarity and Applejack, I did it because I liked how they interacted in the Friends Forever issue they paired up in. Cut ahead a few months and "Holy, Celestia... I'm a prophet!"
Granted, it would require a ton of rewriting since Twilight was bored out her mind in the intro of Made in Manehattan rather than busy, busy, busy like I said, but it's still tempting.
Moving on...
Remember that really stupid story I wrote recently?
The one I wrote regarding the differences in gag reflexes between ponies and Earth horses? The one that, for reasons that still allude me, somehow ended up in the feature box for nearly five days, probably because of some kind of glitch? The one I wrote out in two days in response to an entry on Tvtropes I didn't agree with?
Well... it has come to my attention that someone (or someones) actually went and edited the Tvtropes entry. Not only did they add that ponies have thrown up before in the show (mostly Pinkie after eating awful baked goods), but also linked my fic in response to it.
Sirs or Madams, I don't who you are, but as a fellow Troper I salute you.

Personally, I wouldn't mind if your story did have any school holidays taking place at all. I would love to see Twilight attend human school in pony form. It would lead to many hilarious and adorable moments, plus it would be fascinating to see Flash Sentry's reaction.
Four day weekend? Sound like Thanksgiving, and that certainly sounds like a holiday Twi would be eager to join them for. After all, we've seen how she likes to pig out.
About how much longer until next chapter?
Please don't waste time doing this. Rewriting the story to conform to material that came out after you started is a death spiral of endless changes that add nothing to the story because it has nothing to do with the point of the story. Just leave it as is and keep moving forwards. I can understand changing the "four" to "three" to avoid having to deal with a major holiday (although it could be fun to have Twilight over for Thanksgiving), but that is really not a major edit.
