    Sorry guys

I apologize for the lack of updates. Although I am writing a bit, I've found myself in a bit of a semi-writer's block. I'll get out of it, but it is delaying the stories.

    Author update!

I'm editing stuff! But also incredibly dried out of writing power atm. I'll get going again soon, but just bear with me for a bit. I'm publishing a chapter of XCOM today, then start on the daily writing (not publishing) again tomorrow morning. In the meantime, always remember:

    Remembering Koji Wada

Like every year, I like to remember the man/legend responsible for the theme songs of one of my favorite shows of all time on the anniversary of his death.

So if you were wondering about the timing for the latest Isekai chapters? There you go.

    Welp, here's a life update

These last couple of weeks have been a bit of a rollercoaster. Good things have happened, and also bad ones. No wonder I could relate to both Furina and Navia in the latest Isekai chapter. Sometimes pretending things are fine is really exhausting, even if they do get better.

Heart!

But yes, that looks cool.

Oh yeah. I'm down for that.:pinkiehappy:

I'm down for the booty, but not for that.

I'd be more hyped if the Berlantiverse would stop being disappointing at every turn. Season two of Flash is shit, Legends of Tomorrow became so painful and boring to watch that I gave up on it before the season was half over, Arrow...well, I still need to actually watch more than two whole episodes of Arrow, but I've Heard Things, and Supergirl just got network-hopped and while the first season was overall well done, the same was true of season one of The Flash and look what happened after that.

I haven't watched Supergirl, except for her Flash crossover, but I am a huge fan of The Flash. This all makes me quite happy. Getting booted off [whatever network] is probably the best thing that could have happened to her.

Though it looked like she was rocking some lightning-laser eyes, so I may have to pop in and see what's up. Bring the pain, CW. I'm ready.

I'm still busy catching up on all the Green Arrow stuff. Dare Devil s2 was pretty good, but I felt unsatisfied with the overall season's end. First season he gets his suit, second he gets his signature weapon. But hey, the Punisher was awesome.

Still only just starting Super Girl but she's okay. Personally I'm just wanting to see the Wonder Woman movie, I've never been a big fan of Super Girl. But anything with Flash in it is a plus in my book. I wonder though if the crossover ties into the Super Woman series where you have to watch both to get the full experience.

I'm still on season 2 of Arrow and I've only seen like 3 episodes of Flash, they need to slow down D:

3959860 >The Flash
>slow down
Pick one

now that all most makes me want to get tv agene but after 5 years with out I will just watch Netflix when it hits there.

Welp, there goes my free time...

It rankles me that the CW passed on taking on Constantine, which was arguably one of the best, most well written and entertaining comic book tv adaptations in a long while... and yet they're picking up the vastly inferior Supergirl show in a heartbeat >_>

3960530 Did they actually pass on it? Or did NBC just say no? Because Arrow went ahead and did a crossover.

I'm confused about the trailer... It's just showing clips of shows that have already happened. Are you under the impression that all of these shows are coming out in the future?

3960530 Supergirl is still good though. I haven't watched any Constantine yet. I learned about it after they got cancelled, but they don't have any of the episodes on netflix or amazon video, so I have no idea on where to watch it :/

3960539 Multiple crossovers in fact. As far as I've seen, Arrow is the sequel to Constantine. Still, I would like to know why Constantine is in Hell though. Still need to watch the show... Only so much that I can infer from other sources....

Spoilers: I really liked Snart though... He was like my favorite character in all of the series. Too bad about what happened to him though :raritycry:

3960539 Warners never actually shopped it around, or CW passed or something. NBC cancelled the thing, so I doubt they've got the right to say no, since that series is Warners' intellectual property.

There are always rumblings about Constantine coming back but... who the hell knows, y'know?

3960539

I know Arrow went and did an episode with Constantine in it, and they used the same actor (which, to be fair, deserves props since Matt Ryan is perfect in the role). I'm unaware, however, whether or not that episode actually fits into the continuity of the show, though.

You can't find it on Amazon video? That's really weird because that's how I watched the show. I had to pay for it, of course, but that's how I saw the series, and I can still bring it up and watch it in my Amazon video library.

As for Supergirl, perhaps I didn't give it enough of a chance but I watched the pilot and it was really just all around god-awful. It wasn't particularly well acted and a lot of the CGI looked really cheap and it seemed to have some seriously bad effects, that at points I would compare to freaking Sharkboy and Lavagirl (that opening scene on Krypton made me legitimately want to vom.) What's more, the whole thing was written like a freaking Hallmark channel rom-com. I don't know if you've ever seen the Black Widow parody trailer that SNL made, but it felt exactly like that. Clumsy, quirky (read: annoying), socially awkward girl! Hot boys! Stressful job where nobody understands her! Dating talk! Except where the SNL skit was being self-aware and satirical, Supergirl was trying to play it straight! That's not even touching on the weird character interpretation of Jimmy (oh, I'm sorry, JAMES) Olsen into a tough, competent, confident, super-manly dude as opposed to the nerdy, over-excitable, inexperienced little kid he's always been (I was seriously blindsided when the "quirky" [read: annoying] friend that was infatuated with her DIDN'T turn out to be Jimmy. He would have made a good one). And of course, Supergirl was immediately infatuated with him and turned into a blubbering mess. Seriously, every single action that Supergirl took felt like something that a protagonist out of a Hallmark Rom-com would. She's excited so she gets super fast-talky and socially awkward and stuff! She describes flying like "how it feels the moment before you kiss somebody for the first time." And Supergirl continues to be a hero not because she wants to or because it's the right thing to do, but because "it'll save the Tribune!" And then they completely screwed up Vartox, who was never a villain in the comics (he could be an antagonist at times, but mostly because he was a hapless goober who didn't know his own strength and didn't realize that earthlings weren't as strong as he was). He was a parody of 1960's pulp sci-fi characters who was a bit of a perv and always annoying Power Girl (not Supergirl) as he chased after her affections, but he was also a just ruler of Valeron and turned his planet into an (admittedly hedonistic) utopia, and he was never malicious or ever wanted to hurt anybody. So of course they made him a murderous psychopath. And then, of course, Hank Henshaw, the guy who in the comics is known as Cyborg Superman and actually murdered the entire population of coast city, isn't portrayed as a complete psychopath, but instead the leader of the DEO. Because let's make a just and benevolent comedy character of a ruler into our villain, and one of the most heinous killers in the entire DCU into an ambiguous but seemingly good guy. That makes sense. And then, in the second half of the pilot when it tries to be all about the action, it just falls apart and stops making any coherent sense. It talks about how Supergirl is responsible for the breakout of the alien criminals and how she incited them to violence but she wasn't in control of her ship when she pulled the prison out of the phantom zone and the villains were already attempting to kill people before she revealed herself. And why were the villains even lying low in the first place? What the hell is their plan? Nothing anybody does or says in the show makes sense.

The whole episode was just mediocrely acted, entirely unfaithful to many of the characters, with cringeworthy, Hallmark Rom-Com level writing that goes completely incoherent when it actually tries to be a superhero show, and I couldn't continue on past it. It's entirely possible that it got better as it went on, but the pilot was a complete steaming pile of crap, and it turned me off from ever tuning into another episode afterward.

I followed the show's dismantling pretty closely and from what I recall, it was both pitched to, and ended up being passed up by, both the CW and Syfy.

3960604 I think you're confusing a bit more than you think. I know the shows are out. I know they're using old clips for the teaser, because all seasons are ending and they don't want to use any new material yet. Yes, they actually are all going to crossover now that Supergirl is there at the CW. That's the point of the teaser trailer. They've already planned it for their annual crossover of Arrowverse.

I've watched all of the series and all of the crossovers.

Now, Arrow is NOT the sequel to Constantine. They loved the show so much that they got him a cameo, then played around with the story to make it more than just that and include him in the lore of Arrowverse. Constantine never got to hell in his own show, it was cancelled. It's an in-joke.

As for Snart, remember what Rory said: he always had a plan so I'm sure we haven't seen the last of him (especially since he's a big part of the Flash's mythos)

There are more streaming sites than just the ones you pay for.
I watch all of these (though I'm not up to date with Supergirl yet), plus other shows, all through CouchTuner.
Adblocker works 100%, so it's just pure free shows.

I agree on Supergirl being mostly bad (from what I've seen) and Legends being weak. :trixieshiftleft:
While Arrow has gone down a bit, I still think it's a very good show.
Flash is the best however. I actually look forward to it. :scootangel:

True, true.

Also unrelated, I keep thinking mistaking Rory's name for Rip Hunter's, considering that in Doctor Who, the actor that did Rip Hunter was called Rory... I guess it's just a minor complaint on my part :/

Hmm. I guess I did miss out on that part the first time... Sounds cool and a good idea for some people, but personally I'm in the boat where it doesn't matter which channel it's on, because no matter what happens, the newest episode just gets sent to Amazon Video.

But, I did hear some remarks about Supergirl's role in the crossovers. At first they were reluctant to doing much considering they were on different networks, now I guess it should be a bit easier. Still, it's been established that Supergirl is in a completely different universe than the Flash, so I don't know how they're going to do more crossovers with the other shows.

No no, trust me, I had the same effect as you did. The first four episodes were simply terrible. One of my friends suggested it for me, and I just laughed my ass off, because it was so terrible that it actually turned out to be funny, much like what Sharknado originally was like.

Over time though, it just got better. Like, not funny better, but interesting better.

And then, of course, Hank Henshaw, the guy who in the comics is known as Cyborg Superman and actually murdered the entire population of coast city, isn't portrayed as a complete psychopath, but instead the leader of the DEO.

I think one of the other things that contributed to it, was the fact that I had very very limited knowledge of the DC universe. Sure, I watched the other shows in the Arrowverse, and I knew the very general people of the franchise, but that was it. Overall though, I realized later on that this show simply had a different take on things. It felt like a feminist Superman, and some of the other bad parts such as when two episodes after when she got poisoned by the Red Kryptonite, and a crowd of civilians stood up for her, now that was cheesy and unrealistic, but it was still entertaining nonetheless.

But, thanks for the search. I couldn't find it anywhere a few months ago. Maybe they added it only recently? Thanks for the tip, I'll search for it later on when I have the time :D

Agreed, although, along with Supergirl, a lot of these turn out to be really good as time goes on. When Legends first started, I really disliked the show because their portrayal of time travel was completely inaccurate. I suppose it has a different effect when watching all of them together rather than one once a week. I thought their quest was entirely retarded, and some of their moral systems were screwed up as well, but as they say, "I guess it was better than nothing."

I don't really know what it is. Stockholm Syndrome? Hanging out with a friend who was legitimately interested in all the shows? Nonetheless, something inspired me to liking the show over time, and thinking it was really good overall.

3962795

... their portrayal of time travel was completely inaccurate.

Umm, there's accurate time travel? :rainbowhuh:
I was still under the impression we can't do that one, what with all the paradoxes and such. :unsuresweetie:

3964592 Yeah it's really hard to do so. But I guess my point is, just be logical and consistent about time travel. Sometimes I get the gist that some people just incorporate it into their show, because they have the idea that it increases their score from like an eight up to a nine, just for having it there.

For the most part, accurate time travel depiction is pretty hard to understand, and at the same time, it's very limiting on what you can or cannot do. At least with other shows like Doctor Who, they created their own theories of time travel that would definitely allow a logician to explain how it is that they can do what they do.
