It's been a while since I submitted any new stories, so I just wanted to let you guys know that I'm still alive and at least trying to write. I suspect I'm not the only author whose production is slowing down as school starts again. Also, as some of you have noticed, I finally figured out how to edit my bio! Hooray, Esle has conquered technology! I will be making an attempt to keep the progress bars over there current so that you all know what to expect from me and roughly when. However, I can't vouch for their reliability, since they are measuring the notoriously fickle variable of me getting off my plot and actually working on stuff.
Hey, it's stuff! Lemme give you a rundown on my current projects:
Zecora Tries Her Hoof at Clop (or Z-clop, as I like to abbreviate it.)
Two chapters of rhyming clop is about two more chapters than I expected to be possible. Chapter three will be from Rainbow Dash's perspective. The chapter is outlined, but the actual writing of it is on the low end of the priority list because I have other stories I want to finish first.
Blinded by Fashion
This is my main project. This one is going to be at least twice as long as anything else I've written. (Looks at all my one-shots and shorts) Okay, so that doesn't mean much, but this one's my baby. A comedy about Rarity going blind and putting on a fashion show. I get to really stretch my non-visual description muscles in this one (Ow, those muscles hurt, I don't think I use them enough). I've got 85% of the story written and 60% of it edited. With luck I may be able to finish it without causing LovingTolerance to come track me down and bludgeon me to death with a copy of the Chicago Manual of Style.
An Afternoon at Sugarcube Corner
I could have spent my writing time yesterday putting work into one of my larger projects. I might have come a few scenes closer to finishing Blinded. I might have poured on a few lines for the next chapter of Z-clop. But I am easily distracted. I sit down to type something substantial, and all my brain can do is go, "HOLY CHEESE, I JUST REALIZED THAT APPLE PIE IS FREAKING ADORABLE!" So this happens. This one is already finished and edited. It is in the submission queue as I type.
Secret Mystery Project!
This one isn't so much in-progress as much as something I have planned to work on once I finish Blinded. I can't tell you much about it yet (because then it wouldn't be much of a secret mystery), but I can share two things: 1) It has Fluttershy in it, and 2) It has Fluttershy in it.
