Whoa, it's Almost May Already? · 7:13pm Apr 28th, 2016
Time sure does fly, doesn't it? Feels like just yesterday I was asking if we could just skip to April already when I realized that I still had another three months of school left. Now? Things have just flew on by. Well, I'll start with saying that I'll be graduating in about twenty days. However, it's going to feel like a lot sooner, for—if you want to get all technical about it—I have about seven days of school left. Why? Well, tomorrow is my senior trip (going to the Six Flags in Saint Louis), Monday I have a field trip for anatomy, and... I'll be attending Everfree Northwest in about two weeks! Surprise! Woo! I'm going another—and probably my last big—convention this year!
So, for the going ons in my life, this most recent weekend was the performance of our musical. Apparently, it went well. Like, really dang well. Heck, my old performing arts/chorus teacher came down from Chicago to watch it—he's a great guy. He said he loved it. It was great catching up with him too. Too bad he had to leave first thing Sunday morning, though. Would've been great to hang out with him again. Now, I've also been a bit sick. About... two(?) Fridays ago, I came down with the flu. Gotta love being sick, right? That was probably one of the worst weekends of my life to be honest. I wasn't able to go to prom because of it, and I missed a rehearsal after school. (Wow, now this blog is turning into a rant ) Anyway, I'm also currently—kinda—sick. I'm at the point of "This is bad, but I'm not contagious and I can live with it, so I'll go to school." You see, Sunday night, I was bit by a spider. The doctor thinks it was a brown recluse. Warning, don't look up pictures of their spider bites. It gets nasty. Luckily, I saw mine early, so I was able to get some good treatment for it. Currently, it has some inflammation, but I'm not going to die, nor lose an arm (yes, they can cause that...).
Anyway! Life's back on track for me! I have a convention to attend in about two weeks, and I have graduation soon. From there, I guess it's onto college. For EFNW, I'll be there hanging out with Foals Errand, Canary in the Coal Mine, dargondarkfire, and more. I hope to meet BronyWriter and ocalhoun (if the latter is going) while there. They're both writers I really look up to. I plan to leave out Thursday morning and fly up there. Here's hoping to an awesome convention, and time to meet amazing people!
Lastly, I have been working on some things. In fact, I've recently completed editing chapters for The Monster Below and TD the Alicorn Princess. I've also been working on a few stories that've been up my sleeve recently. You'll have to wait for those, though. I hope I'll be a bit more active on here in the coming weeks! Now, have a cute poni picture as I leave!
Sorry you were so sick, Stahl. The performance sounds like it went great. Congrats on graduating, too. :D
3903076 Thanks, RK! Too bad you couldn't make EFNW this year. It would've been awesome to meet up and hang out.
SSSSSSSSTTTTTTTTTTAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHLLLLLLLLLL. We both graduate (or graduated in my case) in May and have Six Flags as our senor class trip? Much coincidence.
3903136 yeah, stupid car and stupid brakes. *Grumble* But have fun. :)
3903170 Obviously, we actually went to the same school.
3903229 I definitely will! I'll make sure to upload plenty of pictures to Facebook so you can see it all
