Tried to write this in a timeline fashion to explain what I've done since I uploaded the last chapter
I met a good friend on this site who's in the futas with males group with me
I promised to write them a little one shot to help maybe expand the desire for F x M content
5/23/15 Uploaded the sixth chapter to Gilda's Redemption
Got to work on the one shot for my friend
-The fic took a good three months to complete as a result of my laziness and the premise being content I'm uncomfortable with. His idea was to have an oversized bedicked Pinkie Pie on an unwilling Spike. I made a compromise which was to make two versions of the fic, the first being his idea, the second version being more heartwarming sex that's completely consensual, lol. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten around to making my version of the fic and it has kept me from uploading it to the site. I'm kind'a indifferent to it at his point though, if people are interested in seeing it, I'll just submit it. Please be warned that it is a fic where Spike is abused though (no blood or death, I promise). Also this probably painted my friend in a shitty light :x he's actually really neat and we talk regularly on steam.
I decided I needed to rewrite the Gilda fic since the Griffonstone episode sort'a shattered my head cannon, mostly my head cannon for Gilda. I took a lot of time devising how exactly I was supposed to fix the fic. I eventually came to the conclusion that I can just rewrite most of Gilda's dialogue and the events could remain the same. I also took some user feedback and decided that the fic will focus more on just Rainbow, Fluttershy, and Pinkie preparing for Gilda's arrival. I'm not ready to just get rid of Gilda's journey to Ponyville or any of the other characters I brought along for the ride, but I had to convince myself it was a huge detractor from a basic premise.
I'm going to make anything involving Eos, Mist, Caramel, and Onyx take a back seat as bonus chapter content now. I haven't made it that far in the revisions though, unfortunately, so it's still up for reworking. I'm still thinking of just not focusing on Gilda's journey altogether for right now. I do want to demonstrate that she matured in some way though. Maybe I can just have Eos not be as involved when Gilda's running around town or something... hm, anyways, all of that will be reworked, some sex scenes will be omitted, new sex scenes have been added, all of the meme garbage and gushing over firearms will be deleted. One of the more important things I wanted to do was trim down the size of the chapters, either making it five or six chapters total before the slumber party, or just reducing the number of words in each chapter.
Back to what I've been doing: Splatoon came out almost as soon as I figured out what I wanted to do with the fic. I'd gotten a new beginning down, but didn't like it and actually restarted... I restarted the restart, lol. Anyhow the recurring theme here will be that I keep finding new things to distract myself with.
Around November I finally built a computer after taking a friend's advice. I bought games... like a lot of games on it ._. I was getting some writing done, but there were like two or three day gaps between ten sentence updates >_O
Feeling daring, I started another fic that was supposed to expand on Pinkie and Shy's 'open' relationship, or at least its origins. I made a beginning... and I made a beginning, yeah. Wanted to upload it by New Year's and there was just no chance. I'm not working on it now because the theme of the fic was New Year's resolution, which wouldn't make sense if I finished it in april, lol, I'll finish it eventually.
So January comes around and what I feared most actually started happening... People expressed that they like my work and they actually want to see it finished D: I never thought I'd come so far ;-; Okay, it was like three people, but it irked me that I was disappointing people or that someone was waiting on me for stuff.
Same month, a coworker left for other lines of work, leaving just myself and three other guys behind the counter. We didn't need to bring on another just yet as business has been slower for the last few months, but my hours have gone up as a result. It's cool because I'm getting more money, but it also only leaves two days off a week... which was sort'a like school, cept the time I go to sleep is all out of whack. Anyhow, I have less free time than before, at least until someone is returning in May and then we were thinking of bringing on this other person.
I finally got past recreating the intro to the fic like two months ago (yes, really). Now, hang on, a lot of it was written from scratch, it wasn't a simple reworking of a character's lines. When I did actually get to reworking character's lines, that took like a day. Now this I found fun to do. It's waaay easier fixing broken stuff than it is just making something that works the first time.
A month ago, I bought Battlefield 4. For the third time, but this time on PC :v
This game does one thing well: eats my free time like candy. I know what it is too, I'm a completionist when it comes to games, and unfortunately the BF series has turned into what some coin as an 'unlocking simulator'. You can rank up to... I think the max level is 140. There are I believe about one hundred total firearms. Each firearm has like twenty attachments you can unlock either through cases or using the firearm regularly. There's a lot of stuff you can do, and this time I bought it with all of the dlc cause I wanted those guns that came with the expansions D:
Anyways, the game has usually been taking priority of my time off... the only other thing beating it is sleep and... other explicit actions I probably shouldn't go into (I love E6). I even tried creating this system where I would 'earn' the ability to play more matches depending on how many sentences I typed up into gdocs. Five sentences equals one match, twenty sentences in one sitting gets me five matches. 'S simple, but it only worked for like three sessions. There were plenty of days where I would just come home from work and start playing the soul devouring game.
Aaand that brings us to now. I've tried reaaalllyy hard to find a motivator on finishing the fic... or, well, rewriting the fic as of now. I also lied to the couple of people who asked where an update was. I haven't even completed the rewrite of the first chapter :/ I'm close now, but it's not done yet. Anyhow: The desire to complete it is there, I assure you. I find the premise really hot and I know you'll all love the slumber party section of the story, but it's gonna be a while. It'll be a long while too, I already know it.
Last note before I end this, despite everything I said before and all the kind individuals I've turned down... I'm planning on acquiring a pre-reader when the rewrite of the first chapter is complete. I need to focus on moving forward, not constantly rereading what I already got down... except for context of course. There are simple things I'd rather avoid like repetitive actions or phrases, lol.

That's a feeling I know all to well. Dark Souls is currently doing the same to me.

3868725 Hehe, my brother's doing a run through of that. He just got past those bosses you fight at the same time, a giant and dragon slayer, but when you defeat the giant the dragon slayer turns all macro. He was ragin' reaaally hard xD
