Update pending and a question to readers. · 2:03am Apr 8th, 2016
Next chapter is finished and pending editing. Depending on when DarkxRedemption can get to it commenting/suggesting changes, and when I have an opportunity to tend to any changes—I have an appointment that will have me on two hour bus rides each way tomorrow—the chapter could be up as early as tomorrow night.
On the topic of the Alchemist and the Mirror, I have three arcs roughly set out in my head. The first of these, which we are obviously already seeing, is going to be a bit more slower paced, Slice of Life affair. There is a two month 'deadline' for Silver to do whatever it is she's going to do to help Sunset and the gang out and break the world of this cycle. Because Silver is pretty much batshit fucking insane from any human or pony perspective—children be damned, you can't just pop out babies to cure crazy 
—and is entering the world as an adult, rather than conveniently being turned teenager again by weird portal fetish magic, she's not going to just have everybody's automatic trust because she knows Twilight and Sunset has her letter in her cell-tome.
That said, the slower chapters will give plenty of opportunity for Silver to reflect on how things have gone since the epilogue of the Alchemist's Heart while also having ample room for adapting to human life again... and shopping! So much shopping! Why, just in the first day alone she... Heh. You'll just have to wait and find out.
Onto my question to all of you: I've contemplated whether or not I'll add sexual scenes to the story—say, Silver getting to know her fingers, for example—but am curious whether you, the readers who read these blogs, even want sexual content in the story or, if I do write it, would like for it to be in a separate story posting in the way Kiroberos did with Forgiveness Pending and its 'Censorship Pending' sidefic.
Oh, and should I slap in the Slice of Life tag for the first arc, you think?
I think that it might be better to separate certain chapters from the story. I guess that, in the end, it all kind of depends on how long you are trying to make this little adventure of Silver's last.
The sex scenes in the first two Silver stories had a narrative purpose beyond simply being sex scenes. If you write another sex scene, leave it in the story if it strengthens the narrative or put it in another fic If it doesn't. Unlike most of the scenes in, say, whatimustdo's fic Diaries of a Madman, where they could be skipped entirely save for a select few (notably, the early chapter rape scenes) without losing much for the fic.
That's what I'd do anyways. No matter what you decide, have fun writing! I can't wait to see the rest of this story! The Alchemists Heart is one of my favorite fics on the site (along with the aforementioned Diaries) and I can't wait to see what Silver gets up to this time!

I would suggest making the sex scenes more chapter focuses with little warnings at the end of the chapter before them so if those that wish to skip them they can while not removing them from the story itself. I believe you did that with the first story "When a Pony Calls" if my memory serves me right. Honestly I would think it would work better for that and you can always have a character's thought bring up the important bits of said clop chapters.
As for the whole Teen thing again. Honestly I could see it, with Twilight going in when she was an adult by Equestrian standards and than suddenly finding herself a teenager it doesn't seem so far fetched that this would apply to Silver as well. The only ones I would see this against is more Luna and Celestia as they are much much older and they would come out as there more adult counterparts.
And of course you have to have Princess Murderpanties. Just wouldn't be Silver without it, you kind of had it in the first story and you went off the deep end in the second. So why not a more redefined on in the third. I mean wine gets better with age so why not this?
Also for the love of god and all things holy if you have the human Blueblood in this, have silver kick the dick in the testicles for good measure.
How you choose to do the sex scenes is best left up to you however if it does pertain to the story and develops it like last time then I would suggest adding it in so readers won't suddenly get lost on how a plot centric event happened.
On the other hand, if it doesn't contain butt centric goodness then by all means feel free to separate them.
It doesnt matter to me. Just do whatever feels right, and you should be fine
I'd suggest leaving smut out. It won't really contribute to the story you have going on so far, just be 'AND THEN THERE WAS SEX' which feels unnecessary at best, and...well, driving readers away at worst.
At the least, if you're deadset on it, do side-story over main fic.
