People Like My Stories, Exhibit A:

Neighrator Pony messaged me out of the blue last last week (as I was going crazy juggling my writing for two different contests) to let me know that he had recorded an audiobook version of my Quiet Boy and Moon Horse:

It's a beautiful treatment of a beautiful story. Neighrator does excellent work with the narration and the character voices, and the recording is full of remarkable attention to detail, like Quiet Boy's voice changing as he grows up. This music that sets off the section transitions is a haunting complement to the text, too. If you haven't had a chance yet to read this sweet tragedy about growing up and falling in love with your dreams — a story I described as "the bastard love child of Thou Goddess and My Little Dashie, if Lucky Dreams were the midwife" — this is a half-hour well spent.

(It's also worth noting that Neighrator is literally doing professional audio readings these days — check out this original-fiction novel he narrated. That makes it all the more powerful of a compliment that he did this as a labor of love.)

People Like My Stories, Exhibit B:

So my latest story (which is Mature-tagged, but if you've got View Mature on, you can find it at the top of my stories list) finally just dropped out of the Featurebox after five days. I ... may be forced to admit that it's a better story than I gave it credit for. :twilightblush: In particular, Chapter 5's feedback section is a wall of comments and upvotes praising the twist, which is a big deal for me because that's the biggest thing elevating the story from its roots as 11,000 words of unrestrained id. Also in story comments, it was pointed out that the story is not — as I vociferously promised last blog post — subversion-free. Mmmm, tasty, tasty crow! :derpytongue2:

So I feel like I should walk back my warnings from last post. I still maintain that, if you are allergic to 1) the Optimalverse, 2) structuring the story around a meme, or 3) gratuitous clop, you should give Drunk CelestAI Is In Your Bed a pass. But a lot of people whose opinions I respect have taken a look anyway, and response has been positive.

They sure do, they especially like Hard Reset 2: Reset Harder! Any chance we will be seeing more of that any time soon? :fluttershysad:
