    What Could have been

I feel the need to list off these, since they're still sort of mulling around in my head:

Sequel to Love in a Hopeless Place

As part of the fic showed, there were original plans to do a sequel or two.

    And It's over.

For what it's worth, I assume it was very apparent that I am no where near as active, and I honestly haven't had the desire or drive to keep up with the show or fandom.
So with that said, I think I can safely announce that I'm retiring.

I'll still be around, but I don't think you'll be seeing anything new from me.

    Serious question time.

    Who's the better Parents:

Bow and Windy or Bluestreak and Firefly?

    Last rounds of updates

    Honestly?

    I'm kinda burnt out.

I'm not as active as before, so...

    Well that happens.

I got a few stories left in me, so we'll see what I finish with.

    Figuring it out.

Sort of stuck on figuring out what to do.

-A LyraMac story, with emphasis on the pair.
-Continuing bits with the Moondancer Six. If anything, those stories aren't going to be focused on writing counterpart episodes, because that's not really something I'm interested in doing right now. These stories are more offbeat, Slice of life, stories focused on the characters proper.
    -More Trash

Erg. I finally got hit with....It's not writer's block, but it's more of a deadlock of ideas.

Before I went to sleep the other day, I did come up with a weird idea to do another shoddy clopfic-esque thing.

I was debating to expand on Octadash or Trash before, but I'm still stuck on whether or not I want to do the EG-ified version of the Octadash story.

As weird as this sounds, a recent art piece By Lopoddity, makes me want to drop writing Trixie at the moment.
I think I've said it before, but I despise cliches. On one hand, fanfic writers and artist do all sorts of weird hoopjumping and explanations to redeem the actual villain. I mean, I've done it, others have done it and people love that. The lesser antagonist also get redeemed.
I mean, people write stories Sombra gets brought back to life and falls in love with Pinkie, or Flim and Flam turn over a new leaf and find happiness, and what have you, but it seems like Blueblood always stays an ass.

I dunno, it's a bit of a moral breaker for me to see one of my favorite Next gen tumblr artblogs succumb to Blueblood-is-always-an-ass syndrome.
Yes, it was hinted at before and a lot of people figured it out, but still. He could have been dead or something.

Disappointing.

Anyway, so I'm stuck on three:

-A minor clopshot based around a weird pairing I haven't done before.
-EG Octadash one-shot
-More Trash. Probably focusing less on Curtain Call and more on the two.

Blueblood seems to be to MLP fiction as Pumblechook was to Great Expectations. He's an ass, but in some cases (The Best Night Ever/This Platinum Crown/The Sweetie Chronicles probably has the best example, and Storm Butt does him justice as well), he's at least an affable ass.

Maybe Blueblood should be your next project...?

Perhaps.

Even taking in his portrayal in Issue 26 of Friends Forever into consideration, I would probably run into some issues.

I could argue that his actions in The Best Night Ever is playing up the jerkass to keep him from being surrounded by mares who are only interested in him because of his stature, thus he's relatively more likeable with people he either respects or actually likes.

His interactions with Shining from the comic can be chalked up to "Still don't like you that/i] much."

hrn.

It's funny that he wasn't 'that' bad. He was a jerk, yes, but it was a hilarious type. That and the recent IDW comic had him out to be at least somewhat charming and not overtly negative.

Eh, I like to ship him with Twilight as a sort of lovable oaf sort of character. Of course, I'm focusing on my own Shimmerverse {and Starlight, since she's my fave pone:heart:} so it'll be a while.

Mayhaps an out there pair. Helps to hone some skills.

What are the cliche Blueblood ships, anyway?

Trixie, Rarity, and Pinkie?

3827223 I don't think Pinkie is a cliche pairing, or at least I haven't seen that many. Honestly, it's more Trixie or Rarity if he's ever paired up with anyone. Twilight and him gets some attention, but most of it was years ago. NO one really ships that today.

3827237

I vaguely recall the Lunaverse implying that Pinkieblood was going to happen.

I'll pull someone out for it.

3827260 Oh yeah, I haven't read the Lunaverse so I wouldn't know. :twilightblush: Celestia being evil, or antagonistic, isn't really my thing so I haven't gotten to reading it.

3827263

Eh, it was a mixed bag.

I wasn't a fan of how things were going with and left around the time the end of "season 1".

I did almost write their version of On Cross and Arrow, but nixed it because I was still finding my groove.

3827277 Well I hope my own Shimmerverse won't hold the same problems. I'm currently finishing up episode 1 and trying to get to season 1's finale, but doing it all by myself it harder then I first thought. :twilightblush:

I'm surprised there hasn't been a "Blueblood is Batman" story... he puts on airs as a ladies mare ala Bruce Wayne, but drives them away because by night he's a vigilante bent on saving Canterlot from a corrupt element, and he's married to his job. Emotional attachment to any one pony would cloud his judgement.

3827782

There was, but that was someone's DC/MLP mashup.

I never read it because I always find the idea too silly, but if I recall, Rainbow Dash is Superman, Blueblood was Batman (with Zod pretending to be him), and Cadance was an Amazon, but Diana was a separate character.
