    State of the Author

Hello everyone, it’s been some time since I’ve posted anything. So I figured now was as good a time as any to blog about what I’m currently up to.

    What to name Puzzle’s organization?

So as many of you have no doubt noted in Freeport Venture: Tears in the Rain, there’s going to be some restructuring within Puzzle’s organization. Among those changes will be Puzzle giving his organization an actual name. Though as of this moment I haven’t found a name that I’m satisfied with yet, so I thought I would turn to my many wonderful readers and see if they could come up with

    Winningverse/Freeport Venture/ Lunar Rebellion Timeline

Below is a general timeline of significant events in the main continuity to give an idea of how everything is ordered, even if this is by no means a comprehensive list of events. Things are also subject to change as new stories are written, and we come up with new ideas with which to expand on.

Winningverse/Freeport/Rising Fire and Other AU's Explained

With the publishing of Rising Fire I couldn’t help but notice that there was a bit of confusion of what is and isn’t canon in the Winningverse, and how everything is interrelated with one another. So I decided to write up this blog post in the hopes of clearing some stuff up. In truth, I’ve been thinking about making a few posts for the Winningverse group forum for a FAQ and an updated

BronyCon 2019: The End of an Era

There is something inherently sad about something coming to an end. Something unique and wonderful is now over, and I found myself writing this at the airport and on the airplane, waiting, leaving Baltimore, perhaps for the last time. It’s as I do so that I contemplate the past, present, and future both for myself and the fandom.

Study of a Winning Pony Chapter 32 off to prereaders. · 10:40am Mar 25th, 2016

So I have some good news.

I've finally finished the writing portion of Study of a Winning Pony.

Now there is still the not-so-minor fact I need to edit it all and then post it up here, but hey, this is a big step towards putting the complete tag on this story. I'm certainly thrilled by this considering how long and hard I've been working on this story.

That does bring up what I'll be doing next, of course. I'll be giving a more detailed follow-up post later this weekend on what I'm thinking of getting up to, but for now I'm 4,000 words into a guest chapter for Tales From the Phoenix Empire. After that, I'm thinking of doing a short story with Midnight Sparkle called something like The Great Snowball War for a nice slice of life comedy story to give all of you some Midnight while I start prep work for the next proper Midnight's Shadow story.

Today feels good.

Obligatory:

I can agree that it's a great feeling to finally be near the end of something you've worked on for years. I'm curious, just how long ago did you start writing Study?

Congratulations. :)

If memory serves, I started it in August 2012, with me posting the first chapter in October 2012.

3825882 Neat! So you'll have been writing this for almost 4 years! And I thought my 2 year project felt long...

Oh this has been a long time coming. And I'm really super happy to be finishing it up. In no small part because this is going to let me write new things with all the experienced I gained from writing Study. Considering this was my first story I've ever written, mistakes were made, lessons learned, and I like to think I'm becoming a better writer as a result. I'm certainly looking forward to what I've got planned for the future.

Man, that's fantastic! Congrats!

After that, I'm thinking of doing a short story with Midnight Sparkle called something like The Great Snowball War for a nice slice of life comedy story

By the third day of war the rivers ran red... and white from all the discarded candy canes.

Congrats on another story under your belt:twilightsmile:

Hope Twilights planning one hell of a closing.

"And in conclusion, I've found Cloud to be crass, obnoxious, the poorest choice in personal behavior Ive seen... and a good friend. I've spoken with numerous other clan ponies, her mother a particulary delight, and aside from Cloud her sire, the pater Tornado, is the most stable of them all. And to his credit, he raised a wonderful mare. And yet for as loving and lovely as she is, trouble just tags along as she goes, sending everyones life around her acropper. Heaven knows she's helped certain things in my life come to light...

Cloud Kicker, the Winning Pony... an absolute thorn in my side, and a good friend. And that's two you owe me Luna... one for the Nightmare, and the other for assigning me the joyful duty of bringing Cloud into my life... but good news, the bits she's had to put into her Pissed off Duchess for Another Innapropiate Story, Joke, Innuendo, or Getting Caught Again In A Corner Snogging Some Mare In a Corner of Golden Oaks jar has already paid for that First Edition Clover the Clevers Treatise on Ethics in SpellCraft. I literally had to wait two days before it was filled.

Your faithful friend,
Twilight Sparkle."

All silly of course... it wouldn't two days for it to fill. I'm a Cloud fan, but boy does she drop kick hornets nests into her friends lives.
