If you work near a bread slicer...

... be sure to wear cut-resistant gloves. Slicing your finger open on rapidly-moving blades is not a fun experience, nor is cleaning the wound afterwords. Safety regulations are there for a reason! I'm lucky that I still have an intact finger, and that it'll be healed up fully within a month, but that's something I hope none of you ever have to experience.

    Updates and a question

Hi everyone. Figured I'd post a little update about what's happening in case anyone's still following me. With the assistance and advice of resident Navy sailor Kaipony, I've been working for several months now on an a three-book, alternate-history World War Two naval saga that pits Celestia and Equestria against Nightmare Moon and her allies. But unlike my previous stories, which were written,

If you could erase one MLP character from existance, who would it be?

I'd get rid of Button Mash. Not because I have anything against him, but because it would spare us all from the seemingly countless incest stories he's involved in. I know every fandom has it's seeder, unsavory sides, but good God, why are so many people into stories of a grade-school child having sex with his mom, or her wanting to have sex with him? Knowing that his (non-canon) mother

December has finally come once again! Christmas lights are up, trees are being decorated, and stores are filled with our favorite holiday music! Why not mark the occasion with some winter-themed horror?

Printed version of "The Monster Below" Update 1 - Editing has begun · 6:48pm Mar 17th, 2016

Hi Everyone

Bathroomstahl and I have begun work on editing "The Monster Below" to get it ready for publication. As detailed in a previous blog, this is to clean the manuscript up by fixing any grammar and punctuation errors, tightening and condensing sections by removing redundant information, and generally bringing the quality of the writing up to date with what I've learned since the book was first posted.

I have also taken the opportunity to do a few small changes to the story itself. They include:

*Removing all human expletives (shit, damn, etc.) and replacing them with pony curses (buck). And no, this isn't a move to make the story family friendly by any means (Medicomp and police security forces won't be wielding walkie-talkies).
*Removed some bits where Silverspeak seemed to be directly addressing the reader.
*Added a scene in chapter 2 that describes Silverspeak's very first meeting with Mangus.
*The Arch-dragons are mentioned in chapter 5 when Silverspeak researches the Unicorn-Dragon War.

Edit: To clarify, the changes will be online, so you will not have to buy the book to see the upgraded text.

Our editing will probably continue for another two to three months, at which point I'll post another update that will include a list of all the changes made. They will be very minor, and to address critiques I've received about the improbability of Mangus popping back up, of him being assigned to guard Silverspeak, among other things.

If everything goes according to plan, I hope to get it done in mid-to-late June. Once summer hits, I won't have to deal with school work. So... I'd say about three months.

Really cool! Thanks for the update :D

so if one wants a copy of the book when it will be done... how do i get on the list?

I'll be opening up a list for orders once we choose a company to print the books up; the final price for everyone will depend on how many sign up to get a copy, but that's going to be a few months down the line, probably around mid-summer or so.

I am glad for the changes. I have often tried to TMB to friends and family but the beginning feels a bit cliche with to much addressing to the reader and I am left saying "But wait, it gets beater!"

Will you be changing the story on here or just for the printing?

3814264
The overall story and course of events will be the same, it's just that it's streamlined and moves along a *bit* quicker now,

3814267
Both, so what you read online will be the same as the print version.
