Level Dasher

What happens when a life-changing event occurs that shapes your whole life? What if that event occurs when life has barely begun? If a kid has dealt with more issues in six years than most can handle in a lifetime, how do you think they'd feel?

A comment on my previous blog reminded me that I didn't update here yet, but it still won't be horribly long.

    I Live!

But I’m on a buttload of drugs and am going to pass out.

Surgery went great, even better than expected. I’ll elaborate more later.

    Until next time!

Finally, It Can Be Revealed! · 4:01pm Mar 17th, 2016

Hey Everyone!

First of all, to the few new followers I've gained within the past week (if not for this story, then likely due to either The Rainbow Pony or Six to Eight Weeks Unnecessary), welcome! And thanks for following! As a fair warning, I might not be overly active in the new story department for a while, but I'm on here every day. I'm currently working on an adopted story, A Daughter and Her Dragon, but it's moving kind of slowly because I have schoolwork to do as well. This post is mainly for those of you following the tagged story, Through Crimson Eyes.

For you TCE readers, if you recall (if you're a new reader, you may not have gotten there yet, but it's there), there is some awesome supplemental art included in chapter nine. I'm not sure if I've made it known, but for a long time now, I've also had some other art waiting to be revealed for later chapters of the story, and I'm thrilled to say that today's chapter update includes the first of three, all wonderfully done by the awesome artist, Ayemel. The last chapter update will be March 24th, so all of them will be visible by then—they end each "act" of the story (Act I, the Entr'acte, and Act II, which is substantially shorter than Act I).

Aside from the art, there's also a side story waiting in the wings. It's been sitting in my queue for over a year now, but I can't publish it until TCE is finished because it contains spoilers. Based on the story's statistics, it looks like there are at least a few of you reading every day, and some people are likely binge-reading chapters at a time. It wouldn't surprise me if some of you are waiting to do a full binge-read when the story's completely published, so if that's your intent, March 25th is the day to do it—like I said, the last chapter should be posted between 4–6pm US EST on the 24th.

For those of you that will have read the whole story on its last update, let me give you a small bit of info on the side story. If you've happened to have read The Right Place and the Right Rhyme, that's actually a prequel to this side story, but it can also stand on its own. That's why I already published it. There will be an author's note at the end of the side story with a small explanation. It's a different kind of story from TCE, but it's got the same kind of message. It isn't long, so hopefully you'll take the time to read it. If you haven't finished TCE, though, I highly recommend finishing it before you go near that side story. At the very least, finish the Entr'acte.

My extreme thanks to those of you who have been following Crimson since I first started publishing chapters. That hiatus was so much longer than I wanted it to be, but you patiently waited it out, and I'm grateful for that. You new readers luckily didn't have to deal with that, but thank you, too, for your interest in the story. As a little tip to all of you, when you reach the end of the story, there will be one more "chapter" waiting (I'll be publishing it at the same time as the last story chapter). It's not overly long (thought it is longer than the story's chapters), and while it isn't technically part of the story, it's pretty crucial to it, so I urge you to read it as well.

Thank you so much for your interest and patience. Happy Saint Patty's Day!

Nice picture she drew.

3814728 Ain't it? There are more to come, too.

FYI, I added a little something in the A/N in chapter 57 that I thought needed to be there. :raritywink:

Waiting for the entire story to be uploaded before I re-read the stuff I have before, and all the new ones posted.

3815524 I figured. If that's the case, everything should be up by the evening of the 24th. You may have already known that from my other blogs.
