New story: Please Don't Leave Me · 7:01pm Mar 5th, 2016
Another P!nk Pony Tale. This time, based on (and big surprise here) P!nk's Please Don't Leave Me. It's a story about Diamond Tiara, sitting in the rain, trying to work up the nerve to apologize to a pony she hurt.
It's written in a different style than my usual. For starters, it's in present tense. That's a tense that can irritate me when reading stories, but here I am, using it. The story didn't start out that way. It was past tense. But I found myself writing in present tense at one point, and it just felt right. So present tense it is. And the rest of it is a bit different as well. Call it a bit of an experiment.
Oh, did I forget to mention this is a side story to Pride and Prejudice And Snails? Because it totally is, taking place after chapter 11. Don't have to read P&P&S for this story, though, nor should this story be too spoilerific for P&P&S. While I'm a little bit (three years is a little bit in cosmic terms, right?) behind on P&P&S and the right horse words are being mule words when I do try to work on it, the story itself crosses my mind often enough. So when listening to "Please Don't Leave Me", it is only natural that this is where my thoughts wind up, what with where the writing has been stalled.
