The mane six- Posey · 5:36am Mar 2nd, 2016
Posey, head of the Dream Castle garden, and the kindest and sweetest mare in all of Ponyland. Out of the descendants of the mane six, she is the one who is most known as the soft-spoken pony with the gentle heart of a lamb. Born an obscure earth pony to a family who owns a flower shop in bright valley, this little shrinking violet was always in her little sister's shadow, and never made much of an impression on her own. This little wallflower always seems to melt into the background when she is with the other harmony bearer descendants.
Gardening... there is nothing as near and dear to this pony's heart than gardening. She can talk to the flowers and understands their wants and needs. The crops that grow from the earth respond to her hoof's touch as if they were her children. When her emotions are strong, Posey can even bend and move the plants to her will as if they were an extension of her own body; a terrifying power that can entangle any foe who dares to threaten her garden. Not even the fiercest of monsters of Ponyland are foolish enough to attack the Dream Valley gardens.
But when her plants are not around, this timid little wallflower shrivels in the face of other ponies. She timidly hides and squeaks when she's spoken to, and hides from her own shadow in fear. Her hobbies are mostly quiet things, like drinking tea, knitting, and softly singing to herself. Things that don't require her to get excited, and don't involve a lot of noise and adventure. She does not care for large animals and fierce beasts as her ancestor did, only timid and kind creatures are able to befriend her. I believe she'd gallop away, screaming in terror from a manticore with a thorn stuck in it's paw.
Only her plants can get her excited, only flowers and crops can ignite her passions that bring the frightened filly to life. That... and the stallion Steamer, her husband and one true love. Steamer is the greatest engineer on the Ponyland railroad, and the father of Baby Posey. She will brave the loud and scary whistle of the great engine he rides in. The earth mare is excited and happy whenever she is with him, and cares not for what befalls her. Fear melts away when Steamer is with her, and nothing else seems to matter. Perhaps it is fitting that Posey is an earth pony, as I have never seen any other equine with her hooves so firmly planted in the earth.
