The story post #2 - The well hidden crush.

Tis another Thursday upon us and thus time for another story post.

For those wondering, I am posting these two annual posts early in the morning shortly after I wake up. I tend to wake up really early.

Anyway, the next story up is In the Broad Daylight - Chapter 10.

Did you know that there is a hidden crush in this chapter? Well let me explain after the break.

And for those who haven't read the story yet, keep in mind:

So chapter 10 starts with Rainbow Dash and Big Mac meeting up as they search for the foalnappers. Big Mac is rather surprisingly talkative and Rainbow Dash hangs around him since, as she says, she's empty of ideas of where to search for the moment.

Now I was not writing romance and I knew it had no bearing on the story anyway, so I hid it for the most part but Rainbow Dash is totally crushing on Big Mac in this first part of the chapter. She even subconsciously lands on his back and then nearly makes an accidental innuendo in her mind before spotting the cloud injured Gilda is on.

So am I a DashMac (or whatever it's called) shipper? No not really, I'm more SoarinDash guy myself, but at the time of writing, I for some reason thought it would be fun to hide a implied crush there. It was far more of an Easter egg than anything else and for anyone who didn't spot it, the scene works just as well as Rainbow and Mac just hanging as they search.

However, now that I've actually revealed that Rainbow Dash has a crush on Big Mac in the Equestria Tales series, I may have accidentally committed myself to address that in future stories in the series. Oh dear.
