EG1: I'll be honest when I saw the trailer for this I was hyped! After seeing so many fanart of the Mane Six and friends as humans, I was looking forward to this. After watching it, eh....ish. To be honest it's a good concept really but it should have been handled a lot better.
The story, while mixing in the various high school tropes with the fantasy element that FiM is known for is kinda generic.
The villain, Sunset Shimmer was the traditional high school mean girl. While she had a deeper motive than just being popular she was......kinda bland. Plus when she reveals her true motives I couldn't help but groan at her plot. Using teenagers to rule Equestria, really?
The music was great as it is Ingram's famous score but to be honest it also could have been done a little bit better.
The Characters are the same as we see....but on earth they are slightly different. Human Pinkie is slighter more crazier than the pony version, and Rainbow's more into herself than the one in Equestria.
And I wanna get the elephant out of the room here saying this. I like Flash Sentry. Yes he's been getting a lot of hate for being Twilight's crush but I wanna get this out of the way. I found the fandom's reaction kind of hilarious, mostly because that some bronies hate him because their OCs are written to fall in love with Twilight, I think it's a joke to the fans for shipping their OCs with the Mane characters.
Now for the design choices, I admit it's not the best choices but they've grown on me, and I like Spike as a dog.
Overall Equestria Girls isn't a great movie but it isn't bad either.

I know, right? If I was Shimmer I wouldn't use teenagers, I'd use the US and Russian Government and their militaries, along with the NSA, CIA, and also the world's financial elites.
