Chapter 42- Acts of Necessity. Officially off to editor and pre-reader now · 6:07pm Feb 1st, 2016
The chapter has now been sent to my Pre-reader and my Editor for their tender caresses.
As my objectivity is shot (I so want to publish this chapter and move on) I have told them to be critical.
Okay, this chapter took waaaaaaaaaaaay too long.
Ugh, my original plan for this chapter I felt didn't work once I read through it. It introduced a major plot point (which had a major impact of Sunbeam's character,) out of the blue. Not a good idea. Also, in hindsight, I felt it would have 'cheapened' her character somewhat.
So, I had to find an alternative which both worked with what I had already written AND what I intend to write.
But that is not what took the time.
What took the time was me accepting the fact that I needed to change my plan in the first place. I may be a tad hard-headed, but the fact got through eventually.
Of note: Zecora is in the chapter but don't worry, I will not be attempting to rhyme her. Those that have read my attempts before Greynoise took over rhyming will probably want to give thanks right about now.
