I'm Doing A Fanfic Workshop At Ponycon NYC! · 10:20pm Jan 24th, 2016
The workshop/panel I bid for the Ponycon convention has been accepted. link.
I am terrified.
I'm not worried so much about the presentation its self. I've been practicing it for months, and it's similar to presentations I've done before at local libraries. I'm pretty confident about that.
No, I'm worried about getting an audience at all. I'm up against some fierce competition. I'm in the busiest time slot of the weekend - there are 6 other events in my slot, including 2 pro VA talks and a play session of the Legends of Equestria MMORPG. Oh, well. I should get a small but enthusiastic group, right?
Are any of you going to Ponycon? Might any of you happen to be in or near Brooklyn this coming President's Day Weekend? If so, I'd love to see you.
In other news, Chapter 18 of Basements of Doom is two thirds done. However, it has been two thirds done for... um... a while, so I really can't offer you a publication date.
Thank you for your time.
Sadly I'll only be at Bronycon this year, but hopefully I'll see you there again.
I need to go to one of the conventions, I just never have the time.
I'm sure you'll do great, don't fret none!
I'm sure I've been waiting for more basements, but if it takes you time, then it takes time. I'm sure it will be as compelling as the other chapters.
Alas, I will not be there. Probably not anywhere again, but I am going to try and shoot for Bronycon, at least.
Meh, as long as you're not competing with another writing type of panel, you'll get people. And sorry I won't be there, I only have time to go to one con a year. Hope to see you again at BronyCon!
Look at it this way, if nobody shows up you'll have a nice quiet room to write in for an hour!
I'll be there. So that's one more.
