101, actually. That shocks me more than a little bit. I know it's not a lot compared to some folks out there, but when I first wandered into this little corner of the internet I would never have imagined writing anything, let alone people actually enjoying it. Not that I'm complaining you understand. You all have permission to continue enjoying my writing. Rest happily in the knowledge that every time you do you shock me a little bit and make me smile.
So I guess what I want to say here is thanks. To all of you, for reading and hopefully enjoying my stuff, but mostly to the folks who inspired me and pushed me to actually start writing, and the folks who have helped me along the way: in some places - many places - that overlaps, and in some it doesn't. But you know who you are, and I'm honoured to have you all as my friends. Thanks.

Is it weird that this post mostly inspired my brain to go off on how weird it is that arbitrary numbers excite us so? Like Professor Piggy is excited because he has over a hundred followers, but he wouldn't have been as excited to be at 99, even though the difference is less than 2 percent.
Still, that is a pretty large number of followers for someone whose work mostly consists of a one-shot collection. Probably because it's a very good one-shot collection.

300857 It's interesting because I'm actually no more excited now than I was at say...95 followers. It's just that 100 seems like a good landmark for this kind of post, and so I figured when I got here I'd make one. It's more to do with the fact that 100 is a traditional landmark number than it is with me having any great love for it - though don't get me wrong, I AM happy and amazed that this many people like my stuff.
