    It's late

But my brain isn't quiet. I'm stoned out of my goddamn gourd. Don't worry, it is just my usual regimen of drugs. That's how I spent a lot of my time now. Wasted. Doesn't really help with the pain much, but makes it a bit more tolerable. All of my drugs cost over 5 grand a month. That's what it takes to keep me going. I'm in somewhat better shape because of all of it, and there's a few bright

    Cyborgification is potentially a-go

Finally found a doctor that didn't run screaming upon seeing my spine images and xrays. The team is coming together. Met with the neurosurgeon the other day, and he thinks I am an ideal candidate for augmentation. The transition is happening, I think. I still have to pass a psych evaluation and other steps, but I am closer now than ever. First I'll have the trial run; they'll sink electrodes into

I suppose it is time for an update

Been meaning to this, and I've become the King of Pro-Crasty Nation. I kept wanting to report, but there was nothing to report, no good news at all, so I just... didn't. Sorry. Went a bit silent on my end. It just sorta happened.

I finally got a lawyer willing to take up my case. After that, things started happening.

What just might be my strangest blog post ever · 5:55pm Jan 13th, 2016

Taken from a GDocs chat window:

I had a really weird and terrible nightmare last night. I'm still freaked out.
I was in a candy store
And there were these big glass jars of M&Ms.
And each M&M jar was a different colour. Green ones, yellow ones, red ones, blue ones
Except
At the bottom of the jar, there was like one M&M pressed up against the glass that was the wrong colour and it stood out.
Completely freaked me out.
I woke up sweating and having trouble breathing.

After having typed this, I laughed. But I'm still freaked out. These are the terrifying sorts of nightmares I have, the sort of thing that actually scares me. I wonder what this says about me as a person.

Congratulations, you are odd.

I'd welcome you into the fold, but there are so many of us that the building is creaking kinda ominously.

Once, I was dreaming I could jump really high, like, with no effort whatsoever.

I jumped three stories in a single bound, the free falling bit felt so real it woke me up and startled me for hours.

You found the poisoned M&M. Every couple bags has at least one that will eventually kill you once you eat enough of them over time. It must mean that you are up to your last one before it gets you. :trollestia:

The last bad dream I can remember is one where I was Batman... but I kept forgetting my gear. I would always be like "where's my smoke bombs?! I need some cover." But I wouldn't even have my utility belt on or something.

The final straw before I woke up was that everyone was somehow identifying me... and looking in the mirror I found out I forgot my mask. My mask!

I think it's also the easiest-to-interpret dream I've ever had.

My dreams usually have me the victim of some "Super Empowering Event", I suppose akin to the Infamous series. (Never played them, but I'd like to)

I end up with the "standard set" of powers:
Strength
Speed
Durability

I'm wearing a blue t-shirt, a pair of faded, sturdy jeans, and a pair of comfortable dark-gray workboots.
I have a red wristband on my left wrist, and a bright blue wristband on my right wrist.
I also have a red backpack with a thin box inside; white with a gold stripe, about the size of an overstuffed manila envelope. It's metallic and pleasantly cool to the touch, even when exposed to direct sunlight or intense heat.

It's apparently indestructible, it doesn't even get scratched. I somehow know that the case is mine and that it isn't some evil doomsday device, but there is one thing that bothers me about it.

I cannot open it.

There's no key, latch, nothing to indicate it opens. The only reason I know it's not just a solid chunk of metal is that I hear the contents inside shuffle around if I shake it.

I'm not the only one with powers, there are others too, and not all of then are nice.

-------------

Basically, I'm the protagonist of my own action/adventure sci-fi drama, courtesy of my imagination; with several references to Justice League Unlimited, Bioware games, Harry Potter, and many other stories I've come to enjoy again and again.

That'll make a good story later, and it did.

I had a dream where a group of people had to get out of a labyrinth, but every time they made it to the end they had their memories wiped and put back at the start. One person would be turned into a sociopathic murderer and person would have all their memories.

On the final turn, I was both the sociopath and the one with the memories. I killed someone, don't remember who. Dream ended with me staring at the body in a numb state.

Are you sure it wasn't a Skittle?

A lone little Skittle.

Worming its way to the bottom of the jar.

Watching.

Waiting.

Who wouldn't be freaked out by that?

Oh Goddess no... not like this... not like this... :pinkiecrazy:

Dave... I can feel my mind slipping.

3683620

Daisy... dai.. sy....

What was the color of the M&M?

3683655

THE WRONG COLOUR!

A blue M&M in a jar full of yellow M&Ms is a travesty. :pinkiecrazy:

3683660 You know...If I see a drug with a blue and yellow color scheme...I think I will understand you that much more...:pinkiecrazy:

The oddest one i had was where a T-rex was about to bite me and i woke up as it was closing its jaw, the resulting 6 times i woke up it just resumed where i left off, it scared me shitless that night.

Though yours is pretty interesting.

Firstly: Blue M&Ms are the best ones.
Secondly:

And each M&M jar was a different colour. Green ones, yellow ones, red ones, blue ones

Were the jars colored, or were you referring to the colors of the M&Ms within the then presumably clear jars?

Subtly horrifying. :raritydespair:

Hmm fear of an unknown M&m? well just sounds like someones not eating them anytime soon. xD

Ok, I'll have a little bit of fun with that.

At some level, your mind knew the strange M&M was something dangerous that had already contaminated the entire contents of the jar, so that a thing which should have been sweet and good was now a thing of horror. More than that, the jar of M&Ms itself represented something more than simply candy. Exactly what it did represent, I can't say, but I'll suggest it was the collection of ideas and viewpoints that make a person what they are.

Yep, the strange-colored M&M was Starlight Glimmer's idea that individuality is dangerous.

There is nothing scarier than a brown M&M in a jar full of yellow ones.

So... Not real big on pseudo-psychology then, are you? :rainbowlaugh:

Last night I dreamed that a new pirates of the Caribbean movie had come out, so my brother and I were going to go watch it. Then we were on some kind of motorized bed-mobile, where I was on a mattress stuck to the hood, and my brother was diving somewhere behind me, and kept making all these fast turns and I was scared my mattress was going to fly off onto the road.

Then when we got there, the movie was late in starting, but at the back of the theater, a few of the seats were turned the other way around; and there was a water tank magic show that was going on in the meantime. So there was this live narrator/ magician who was talking about these naiad/ cherub babies that lived underwater.

Some of them were nice: he took a hamburger from someone in the audience and threw it into the tank and a bunch of the cherub babies appeared, split it up evenly and shook hands and went away.

But there was another tribe of them that were evil: some of the evil cherub/ naiad babies appeared, one of them got wounded somehow and so the rest of the evil cherub naiads tore it apart and cannibalized it.

These two tribes were fighting, and the good ones were trying to raise war-dolphins to help them fight in the war.

Then about this time; the adds before the actual pirates of the carribean movie started behind me, and I was upset because now I wanted to know what happened to the cherub /naiads instead; and I couldn't watch both shows at once. So then I took a walk out of the theater to the beach front where some people were playing with dolphins and killer whales.
