    Elementary, my dear bronies...

That phrase isn't even part of the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle canon of Sherlock Holmes. But whatever.

So, I love mysteries. I think detectives are sexy (as well as thieves, but that's a whole different story). Especially people as incredibly awesome as Sherlock Holmes.

Well. That's probably more than you'll ever need to know about me.

Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work I go...

I figured I'd start keeping up a blog, just for fun. And I love exposition.

Anyway, I currently have two stories posted, The Sound of Silence and Foalhoods.

Oh look, a Hey Ocean! song came on as soon as I started writing this.

Anyway...

I've officially got three stories out now. The Sound of Silence, my updated-weekly shipping mystery. I've nearly completed writing it. And I just realized it's my only story that involves shipping (openly in the tags at least). Funny, since that's literally the only thing I'll read. Not that I'm some weird equine-lover. When it comes to any story, I'm a sap for the romance. Which is weird, since I'm not a romantic person at all. My rendezvouses usually involve... Whoa. That's way too personal for a pony fiction blog. Let's just say I prefer things of the irregular, noncommittal nature? But when it comes to stories, I want lifelong monogamy between two characters who are head-over-heels in love, dammit.

Ah, rambling. Where would I be in life without you? Anyway, The Sound of Silence is steadily coming along. I'm really excited about the later chapters in this story. The beginning is a little slow, but I think the buildup is worth it. Just because it got more and more fun to write with each chapter.

I'd like to get the next part of Foalhoods up before I got back to school in September. Just because I probably won't have as much time to write, and I want to give this story a little more bulk before I slow down my process. I'm busy tonight, but if things go my way I can squeeze in a couple hours of a writing session (and hopefully get all, if not most, of the story done) before heading out. That way, I'll have another chapter of Foalhoods completed before I go away for a few days this week and will be sadly far from my computer. In an ideal world, at least...

I decided to upload Detective Dash now since it's another story that I can take breaks in between chapters, and I'll probably be writing chapters in bulks. Interesting fact, this is my first story to receive any dislikes. And I'm having the most fun with it (although parts of TSoS were really fun), so I hope a majority of people get onboard with the idea. I'm going for a different format with this one. Instead of one long mystery, I'm doing a series of chapters focusing on different jobs that Dash has. So this story will kind of be endless. And while the entire story flows from job to job, I'm writing it so that you can really jump into any specific job and just read that one if there's a specific mystery you prefer. I like it, so I'm free to write in spurts (a few chapters for a job, then a break, then another job, then a break) and whenever I have a new mystery idea, I can throw it in. So this story is here to stay.

Since I've got plenty of room to breathe with my TSoS updates and my other stories are sporadical, I'm going to take the time to start work on my fourth story idea (and finally another shipping one). This will be another story that needs constant updates, so I figure I'll write out an outline and start the bulk of the story with my free time. Then I'll upload it once TSoS is finished as my next weekly updated story. But I want to finish the next chapter of Foalhoods before I get this next project underway.

And, uh, I just now (while writing that paragraph above) thought up another idea. It still needs to be fleshed out, and (if what I've thought of right now reflects anything) it's going to be a very intricate idea... So, I'll just tuck that away for now and focus on the things I'm actually working on. Eventually, I'll probably outline it. But I've got four other stories to occupy me right now, so...

Ever since I started blogging, I've been updating, like, every day. What's up with that? I just really like the sounds of my own keystrokes... Sigh... I gotta stop that. Oh well. That's all for now, folks. So back to your regularly scheduled programming!
