Hi, I'm BNuts, and what a difference a year makes!
In all fairness, when I started I didn't know I'd be writing anything more than show episodes with a few more characters pitching in here or there. I certainly didn't know I'd be changing destinations as well as journeys. I suppose you could say that my objectives in writing The Gear Series have become a lot more defined, and that has also helped me to define my characters.
I have also taken many risks over the year, and it looks like many of you are enjoying the results. If you would, please let me know what you think about the narrative direction I'm taking in the comments. They're tons more useful to me than thumb indicators. The only other thing I have to show me whether I'm on the right track is the reads statistic, and they don't really show a lot. In the end, my only question is whether or not you're enjoying what I have to offer.
In all honesty I haven't always been keeping up with the writing end of things: too much YouTube. Fortunately, I had enough of a buffer to begin with that I never had to delay a chapter's release, and I am getting back into a rhythm. Some chapters are harder than others to write, but overall I'm enjoying it.
Turning to the future, my take on the Reflections comic arc is coming up next week. Then we have 'Games Ponies Play' as a bit of a breather chapter, and then the last two major story arcs of Third Gear. Once those are clear, I can start on the climax of The Gear Series, which also kicks off the second trilogy and major story arc. I hope you will continue to follow me when The Dark Wars begins.
