Not dead

Just a little update...

Sorry there's been no new chapter lately.

The story isn't cancelled or on hiatus or anything; I'm just having a bit of writer's block. I've hit the point where my notes are finished (I never expected to get this far....) and past this point I have bullet points and outline ideas but not hard notes like I did for the first half of the story.

I've been struggling with some antagonist/side character motivations to make sure things make sense. I'll... have a chapter when I have a chapter. I'm sorry.

I just can't not have them have their own motivations... The problem is I wrote the first scene of the next chapter but the Queen talking to them about (whatever it is she discusses) has no REASON behind it. It feels forced and stupid and really puts it straight to the reader that it's just a way to push the plot forward. It doesn't feel organic.

So I'm trying to make sure I have proper motivations for her, and trying to make sure they mesh with the bigger picture. I'm just not coming up with anything that makes sense. (IE: my editors are poking holes in my logic, and that's a bad sign.)
