    in need of an editor

Making a new story, set in the Equestria Girls universe. But I need some extra eyes and opinions.

-Must be open to frequent pestering by me (ngl, I'm probably gonna be talking to you once a day)
-Must be able to do a thorough check of little things like spelling errors and such
-Must be brave enough to challenge the stories in general, ie, questioning my decisions for the story

    HOHSHEET

    SOME ONE EES BAAACK

    HOHLEESHEET

But yeah, I'm poking my head around here again. How has it been? I know some of my friends here have moved on from ponies, and with MLP moving in new directions I can't help but wonder where this website will go in the future. I'm already planning something new to write, so I hope it'll at least get some eyes on it.

    Happy seeing you guys again!

    Words Are My Enemy

Ever since the hurricane, I've had trouble getting back into my groove. Just when I think I've got a good one going on, I lose it and have to work a day or so to get just my motivation back. My concentration broken, my spirit shuddering, I get back in this cold and threadbare chair of mine, forcing my fingers to dance on a keyboard that's losing letters, losing words. The rhythm my fingers dance

The Feature Box Never Ceases to Disappoint Me. · 2:50pm Dec 12th, 2015

Sadly, neither do the authors on this site.

We're all well aware of bandwagons, and how they get annoying almost right away. Human In Equestria, Five Nights at Freddy's crossovers, Cosplayer in Equestria, something about peaches...

...and now we have a fad about writing about a character... masturbating.

It's one thing to write about the characters bumping uglies, since that at least has some character interaction, and in most cases at least serves the point of fantasized sex that most people like, whether they admit it or not. But this?

This?

This is the worst fad to hit this site, hands down.

I hate having to complain about anything on this site, which is why I'm mostly silent on these fads when they happen. I just wait them out until they go away, or in the case of FNaF crossovers, I try to deconstruct them with my own stories. I mean, what point is there in complaining about a fad? It's not going to be important here in a few months. But I get the shudder-inducing feeling that this might end up going from a fad to a permanent fixture of the site's clop genre.

At least if it's stuck in the clop genre, they'll be a bit easier to avoid.

But let's start some discussion. What's the stupidest fad you've ever heard of, and why? Leave your comments below!

"Hands down", you say. :trixieshiftright:

Aren't fads just stupid in general?

What's the stupidest fad you've ever heard of, and why?

The tobacco industry.

Fallout. It's a ridiculously bad fit for the show.

Also Fall of Equestria for almostthe same reason, plus the fans are earth-explodingly creepy, and the things they come up with make me want to arm their local police to put out guard patrols on women and children.

And lesser: Futa.

Fads have never bothered me at all, ever. If a fad is not relevant to my interests, I ignore it. Simple as that.

That's generally what I try to do, but these have pretty much nothing going for them. There's no substance and no style.

I think its contrast to the bright and fluffy world of MLP actually IS its appeal.

Sorta like how having children's characters doing sexual acts is kind of appealing in its own perverse way.

But I do agree with you on futa.

I have no reason to disagree with this assessment. But it does not change my solution of simply ignoring them. If a certain trend has very little staying power, then it's a problem that will ultimately take care of itself. No intervention is necessary.

But I maintain my position on warning local cops to dig up a few back yards, check some crawl spaces, and just kind of casually accidentally tase some Fall fans for about an hour every week. If they are STEM folks, two hours.

STEM? Not sure I know what that is.

By the way, it's been a while, Gabe. How's it been?

It stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, a shorthand for the more rigorous disciplines and as contrast to arts and humanities. I know a lot of STEM folks. But sadly some branches of that produce woo-woo thinkers like quantum nuts, homeopaths, denialists and creationists. If there is a PhD shilling for some Jesus freak outfit it's usually a mathematician, economist or engineer. Also STEMs seem to be the hardest core misogynists on the Internet, as well as more likely to promote bullcrap HBD/RaceRealism/"Shut up guyz, I'm not a racist but races are real and mine is the best." They put it in their porn and make it exponentially creepier. I know of an MS Engineer with an ego big enough for three people who thinks talking to people is a waste of their time and can only interact with sycophants who agree with their policy on meatgrinder disposal of pregnant women.

I'd been really down since my aunt died, mostly because I was taking care of her during the day in the last phase of her illness. I lost the desire to write but I am crawling back up out of hole, though mostly to stick a middle finger up at Fall of Equestria and spit in the faces of whoever is behind that dribbling nonsense. Nothing like being an angry socialist to get you moving.

That's odd; most mysoginists I've met were atheists.

I assume it's the location. It's weird, like the Red States attract all the crazy liberals but the Blue States attract all the crazy conservatives.

But enough political dribble. I'm sorry to hear about your aunt; my grandfather passed away last September and I have barely had any motivation to write since then. I'm glad to see you're getting better, or at least are faring better than I would.

The stress doesn't help things. Having an anxiety problem makes stress have a notable effect and can stop me from doing things. But with distance and meditative consideration of life it can be managed. I hope you feel better as well and learn to go on.
