I know, Derpy, I know. But what can I do? I've never been this popular before, I mean this story already has over 1000 favorites. 1000! And look at this, I've gotten almost 120 followers. Do you know what this means? Things are finally starting to look up for us. With this kind of popularity, I'll finally be able to make some improvements around here. I could fix that hole in the roof, I could get repairs for all the damaged pipes, I could finally do something about the rotting floors on the second storey. Hell, I could even add that new wing we've been waiting for so long to get! Don't you see, now I can finally do something with this run-down old mansion my folks left me, Author's Home for Wayward Ponies can finally be everything I wanted it to be. I don't have to rely on government stipends form Celestia and petty donations just to keep the eight of us clothed and feed any more!
"Author, please, calm down! You're getting worked up again."
I... I... *sigh* Yeah, you're right. I'm sorry.
"It's Okay. I understand all that. It's just that we hardly ever see you any more. You never even leave your study. When was the last time you even slept in your own bed, instead of just falling asleep in your computer chair at your desk?"
Derpy, this is important work that I'm doing.
"I know, I know! It's just... It's just things weren't like this. You used be there, you would model some of Rarity's suits for her, or play basketball with Rainbow Dash, or help Twilight with her homework. When was the last time you baked some apple pies with Applejack, or planned a party with Pinkie Pie, or took Fluttershy to feed the ducks down by the pond in the park? And I can't remember the last time you and me went out and got some muffins at the bakery and just watched the clouds go by. We used to do that every sunday. What I'm saying is, we miss you Author, all of us do. I miss you."
