I Need An Editor...

As I might have mentioned before, I try to have someone —if not several people— proofread and review each chapter I post to ensure the best quality I can deliver. Usually this means seeking the many talented folks at Ponychan, and while they do a great job, it's taking longer and longer to get reviews done.

After all, this fic has some long chapters, and is in the two niches of Grimdark and Human-In-Equestria, which are less popular than others. As it is now, reviewers are making more and more of a commitment to reading 10k-word chapters as I go before they can really get to business. The last two times I've requested a review, it took an entire month to get picked-up.

I've realized I can't keep this going anymore. I need an editor. Someone to look over my new drafts and advise me on them, and the story overall. Someone with enough writing experience to pick out my novice mistakes and kick me in the right direction.

I'm afraid this would be a volunteer position and not a paid one.

Understand though, having been in a position like this for a fanfic writer myself, it does mean you lose the mystery and wonder of the story being told. Once the author tells you how they're blocking out their story, you can't really go back to being the enthusiastic reader again. Nature of the beast, but don't say I didn't warn you.
