Oh hey, NaNoWriMo is over. · 6:08am Dec 2nd, 2015

Let's see, how much did I write?
...
About 16,500 words of Minoan Crisis, and 4,500 in short fiction and poetry for my Creative Writing class. Well, guess I know where my priorities are.

So 21,000 words all told, almost half of the NaNoWriMo goal of 50,000. And I was going to sit down and crank out a bunch of crap to buff my numbers, too, but it's too late and I forgot. Oh well. Maybe I should total up my count every month. This was kind of fun, and insightful too.

Out of curiosity, does anyone want to see one of my non-pony short stories? There's one I'm actually kind of proud of, and I'll be cleaning it up based on class feedback for the end of the semester. What do you think?

Oh, and if you're wondering where all this Crisis activity came from almost immediately after I set it to Hiatus, go thank this guy for prodding me from my slumber and making me aware that there are actually people who enjoy some of the stuff I write. Also the class's writing journal is supposed to be 100-odd pages by the end of the semester, and fanfiction is hard to not think of, especially since I still have three or four stories in mind to write someday.

If you're wondering where all these 16,500 words of Crisis are, go bother this guy, only don't because he's actually more busy with schoolwork than I am. But yeah, just waiting on his pass before I commit to the "New Chapter" button. He did say he would take a look about a week ago, but I have no room to complain about slow editors. But I did spy an Anonymous Orangutan in the docs just now while tallying up the word counts, so who knows? I might have to dust off the author portion of this user page.

Well now, I'm glad I could be some assistance!

Though in all seriousness, you should only continue if you enjoy the writing and story. Otherwise I feel it's a detriment to your skill as a writer. It's just an added benefit that people like me get to enjoy reading the story.

I look forward to the next chapter!
