    Ancient relics (I never forgot)

So the other day, I got a comment on Diamond Eyes. You might not think this an extraordinary occurrence (and you'd be right, inherently), but this comment drew my attention to the fact that some art I had linked in the Author's Notes had a broken link, and that they would like to see it if I could find it. The link to the artist was broken too (they formerly went as _Vidz_).

    Surprise!

So my girlfriend entered this competition and she put a lot of hard work and effort into her entry.
Then she struggled with self-esteem issues and almost didn't post it.

Persona 5 is awesome, you guys

And in a minute or two, Arcelia and I will be playing it. Our progress so far: We just got Queen (Makoto) and we're about to hit Kaneshiro's Palace

The beginning of the end of the beginning of the end

Arcelia and I are rewatching mlp from the first episode until the last. Neither of us have seen season nine. She's successfully moved back in with me and we are celebrating by taking the most epic trip down memory lane, culminating in the end of the show that brought us together in a way neither of us ever anticipated. I imagine it will be quite emotional when the time comes to say goodbye to the

Cancer update #5 · 7:03am Nov 17th, 2015

This looks like a definitive finale to a long fight.

Ok friends, time to celebrate once more. Gynae-oncology appointment, all well & way better than expected this close out of treatment. My oncology team are speechless at how my body has overcome what was initially a cricket ball sized tumour, expected surgery not required & the healing process is more advanced than expected. Woohoo!! Take that, cancer!!

It's over, guys. She beat it. One final time, thank you so much for your help when it was most needed. I'd say something more, but there's really nothing much more to say that hasn't been already.

edit: so as it turns out, there is actually more to say. From miss Kylie Picken herself, to all you guys who've followed her plight since April.

Ahem:

Dear Wonderful People.
Complete strangers. Six months down the track from my initial cervical cancer diagnosis & I have just had my 2nd round of follow up appointments post-treatment. I am lost for words when expressing my happiness to be here, alive, well & recovering much better than was expected by my medical team.
Something I have been wanting to do is to thank each & every one of you who helped in any way, words of support, donations towards the bills, prayers, thoughts. There is no way to ever really thank you enough & I wish there was something that would suffice to properly express the level of gratitude I have for you guys. People who have never even met me, heard my story & didn't hesitate to jump in and help out. You guys fucking rock!!! Can I say that? If it weren't for all of you I'd have been homeless as well as dangerously unwell. I still can't quite fathom the level of support that I received. I cried on more than one occasion when I stopped to think about it. And I don't cry easily. So, from the very bottom of my heart, insufficient as it is, THANK YOU to each & every one of you.

Be proud, guys.
