First things first...
Thank you to all of you who have read, upvoted, favorited, and/or reviewed The Two Who Know. I cannot tell you how happy I am that so many of you enjoyed it. And I apologize that I have not yet replied to reviews. My life has been...crazy. This past week. Not crazy as in busy, necessarily, but crazy as in...I have a lot goin' on in my life and I have been using a lot of brainpower and worry thinking on such things. I have to think about my future and graduate school and will I get in and if I do, do I want to go to that one, but what about that other school that I haven't heard from, and what if no one accepts me, and I still have to apply to that other school and then what about the months to come and and and and--
Uhhhh. Yeah. So...A lot of the time I'm either thinking of that or I'm doing stuff to relax so I don't worry. And so I've been using that time to read, and last week I used some of that time to write the story I'm talking about in the first place. But I will respond to some of those reviews in time, I swear. Just maybe not all of them.
But I appreciate every single review that I have gotten. Well...Except maybe one, but that's not important. But they made me really happy and they really help me when I have self-esteem issues, and remind me that I'm doing something that people enjoy and there's something I do well. And that they're in character. Especially since it's Discord. I love him so much, so I'm always so happy to hear that people liked him.
And apparently it got a lot of people to like Cadance as well! And I only spell it "Cadance" because I think that's how Hasbro spells it, so of course I will too. Since they like....own it and stuff. I'm so glad you all liked my portrayal of her! I actually like Cadance a lot, and I think writing this story helped me realize it. The thing is, there are aspects of her that remind me of her aunts and of Twilight, but there are two things about her that make her stand out to me:
1) I think she's a romantic-dork-lover. If you read the comic where she and Armor tell the Mane Six how they met, you'll see a panel where Cadence is just about to babysit Twilight for the first time. She has to do this because Shining Armor has a school concert to perform in (I think that's it), and as Shining walks out the door, Cadance closes the door after him and his parents and puts a hoof to her heart muttering about how adorable he is.
She loves dorks in love and just thinks it's the most endearing thing ever. NOT that she found Discord attractive or anything, she didn't like Shining just because he was a dork in love with her, but that's why she thought Discord was adorable when he came to visit. It's like...animals are to Fluttershy as lovestruck dorks are to Cadance. XD
2) She's laid back.
Not all the time (because who is?) but I think she's more relaxed and knows to keep it cool. Sure, she seemed a little ticked in a couple frames in "Three's a Crowd", but she took it like a champ for the most part. And I dunno. Just the way she carries herself makes her look like she's happy and laid-back. She doesn't panic over the little stuff.
So thank you for all your comments on her, on Discord, on everything! You guys are the cream to my crop, you really are!!!!!! Don't know what I'd do without my readers, I really don't. Especially those of you that have been with me for a while, such as Frazzled Pony, Woolly, MissyAngel, Swirlstar the Dedreab, and so many others, forgive me that I didn't write all of you down here, but you mean just as much to me, as well as the ones who have read my stories at any time along the way!
Now, as for My Little Draconequus...
No, I haven't really...started the next chapter yet. But I will. Soon. This week. Maybe I'll write at least one paragraph tonight, real quick, before it gets too late...
BUT
I wrote out the outline tonight. Yes, the outline!!! An actual chapter outline so I'm not just winging it! I actually wrote it!!! So I have a path!!! omg!
Now just to outline the rest so maybe I have some sort of idea of where this puppy is going and how many more chapters there will be. I know how I want to end it and I know what I want to happen right before the last chapter, but everything else I have to organize to get to that point. I have ideas, though. I'll figger it out.
Because if I AM going to grad school, I better get it done before I do!!! But I shouldn't worry about that yet, but still. I'd like to finish this story, and not take forever on it. XD
(Even though it's already taken me a loooong time. But still, six chapters..Woah. I can't believe I wrote six chapters. I was at chapters three and four for the longest time, so I'm stunned.)
