I got about half way through the new MLP episode, and actively went "I don't care" and shut it off.
This is the first time that has happened to me ever
A nerd who thought it would be cool to, with the help of a few equally insane buddies adapt the entire Marvel Universe (with some DC Comics thrown in for kicks) with My Little Pony...wish me luck

...bad? Because I've done that for about half of season 5's episodes even without any of them really being bad.
3528316 Probably apathy; Hobbits' interest in the series has been waning as of late, so this might just be another milestone in that wane
You know, this isn't the first time I've seen this before. I'm reminded of something J. J. Abrams said between seasons 2 and 3 of Lost, how the number of seasons was increased to 6. He jokingly said that everybody should stop watching season 4 so that they could hurry up and get cancelled because that would mean they'd have to start tap dancing.

3528316 It was a mix of apathy, and the fact that this was so obviously yet another 'Twilight misunderstands an element of friendship or misunderstands Discord because she's so bookish and straight-laced' episode.
Like, I've gotten increasingly fed up with Discord. He worked best as a villain, because then his constant trolling would have an eventual consequence other then a slap on the wrist he usually gets. His shitck is old. It was funny maybe the first two times he showed up, but after that, it just became dry and cliche.
Oh look, he turned someone into an orange. How amusing.
The reason Bill Cipher in Gravity Falls works better for example, is because he rarely ever shows up in the flesh, but when he DOES show up, the episode takes him seriously, and all the weird shit he pulls is usually deliberately creepy and violent and evil. Discord at worse just felt like an annoying prankster.
3528488 Well, Bill only shows up in the flesh in Weirdmageddon, but I get the point; Discord's been kind of played out and the plots have become repetitive.
3528513 exactly.
Yeah, I know that feel, man. This was me about halfway through season 3.
I mostly just stick around for the fanfics nowadays, there are still some great ones being written.
Well, this was one of the worst episodes of season 5.
