Yeah haha It has received a large number of favs since going up. Not a huge amount, but enough that it's a significant increase. And yes, that large bipedal feline is quite the character haha
3497229 You know, I'm planning on rewriting Chaotic Harmony. Some of the key points will stay the same, but the story itself is going to change drastically. There were several elements that were supposed to be something completely different from where it went. For example, with the fusion magic, instead of fusing with anyone, he was going to fuse with different magical creatures, like he did with Philomena. Instead, it went... weird, and I got rid of it in an admittedly cliche way.

I was actually staring at my previous chapters of Memories thinking I should rewrite them as well haha I feel my skills have improved enough that rewriting would at the very least take out some cringe-worthy bits of my writing.
3497265 Possibly. This isn't my first rewrite, though. I've been doing a rewrite of the Dawn Shield series, which has been doing pretty well.

Oh, I wasn't expressing doubt! I was simply saying that, like you said your fusion magic went weird, sometimes stories tend to do that upon first write. It's why published books go through so many revisions time and time again.

3497312 Nope, a complete reboot. I took down the old ones (all three separate stories) and published it as one long epic. It's still going on, half way through Act V, and still has three or four more acts to go.

3497329 Hmm I'm not sure how well Memories would do if I did it that way, seeing as i don't have many actual followers, mainly people who favorite my stories and rely upon that for update notifications.
3497340 Yeah, it might be best to overwrite chapters. It worked for me, mostly because Into the Black got me over 600 followers.
Speaking of which, I'm writing a novel based on ItB, but not ponies. It's going to be called either just Into the Black, or Into the Black: A Wizard's Tale.
damn, I am so happy for you, especially that I really like your story. As for the featured. The fimfic has this weird system, that if there is a story that is or was quite popular at some point, and after updating it, the new chapter gets some quite big attention, it promotes it instantly for a featured. Last three positions are working on different rues than rest, It is most often populated by quite popular stories that just got updated

Ah okay, that makes sense, but then it makes me pause, because I never thought Memories was all that popular of a fic. I think it's unpolished, amateurish writing that fails to capitalize on the interesting ideas I started off with. My characters do not fill me with the same feeling of, "that's a good character", that others seem to see, and I feel as if lately I've been leaning quite heavily on established tropes within the fantasy genre.
I guess the popularity of it just surprises me. I know I probably hold my own writing in low esteem, because I've never been one to be sure of myself, no matter how I present myself to the contrary. I was raised to believe that anything less than perfection from myself is failing, and so that really kind of permeates my writing, and may in fact be a big reason why I end up taking really long breaks from my writing. Simply not feeling my writing is up to par with those I hold in high esteem really makes it hard for me to just sit down and grind out chapters sometimes
Sorry for the really long whiny reply markoatonc! I really love reading your comments, as you are always a nice insight into the fans of my story. I would probably count you up among Shirotora, Blue Streak, and Rust as one of those people that has really been a very big supporter and helpful as hell. For that I thank you!
