MCU: Hulk to have 'major role' in Thor 3 · 9:17pm Oct 17th, 2015
For those of you who were somehow hankering for more of Mark Ruffalo's version of the Hulk (I for one, prefer Edward Norton's take), you can now rest easy.
According to Deadline (a very reliable source), Mark Ruffalo will, in fact, play Banner/Hulk in Thor 3, which will apparently focus on Thor meeting the Valkyries, and of course, battling Loki.
If we're lucky, we can get a 'Hulk vs. Thor' styled scenario, where Banner somehow ends up in Asgard, and Loki uses him to fight Thor, then Banner and Thor team up to take out Loki.
Mark me down as tentatively optimistic. It seems Thor 3 is undergoing some reworking to 'lighten' it, after the first drafts were judged 'too dark'. For me, I'd rather have a dark, serious Thor then the half hearted 'humor' that completely ruined Thor: The Dark World (blame Whedon, since he was called in for that explicit purpose). Also, in general, I've found Ruffalo's version of Banner to not be as developed as Norton's version, and having seemingly forgotten the character development he had in The Incredible Hulk 2008, which I still think is probably one of the best MCU movies (certainly top 5 for me).
Eh, but enough of my complaining, what do you guys think?
