Well, today's the day, FIMFic. October the 10th, fifth anniversary of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Season One Episode One airing on the television.
I don't pretend to be the oldest of old, because I got on the ride about a year later at midpoint of Season Two. That makes about four years for me. IT'S STILL A LONG GOD DAMN TIME. I mean, Christ Almighty, I was still a teen when I joined up... But, this ain't about me, it's about us. Everyone that's ever liked pony, from the original oldfriends posting in a dark corner of the internet called 4chan, to our glorious overlord Knight that erected this horse fan fiction website, to everyone congregating in the poisonous cesspool of Tumblr, to the horsefuckers lurking in dark alley of /mlp/, to the kiddies playing in the Cuck E. Cheese of Ponychan, to the boated neckbeards battling in the scarred warzones of Twitter, to the Uber-Normies wandering intellectual wasteland of Facebook, and to everyone in between.
It's our five year mile marker. Half of a decade. 1,825 days. 43,800 hours. 2,628,000 min- Oh you get the picture. A long-ass time.
All this time to discuss every aspect of the show and we still can't decide on a best pony. Maddening, isn't it?
