Let it be stated for the record that this is in fact one of the ways you kill a god. Depending on your translation of the event, When Cronus killed Uranus, he chopped off his junk. Which then fell into the sea and thus Aphrodite was born, or maybe that was Cronus's junk... either way gods were separated from their manhood and died.
