And Suddenly I'm Writing Too Much Fic · 11:13pm Sep 27th, 2015

But none I'll be posting tonight. Probably.

My main, main project is this NSFW Choose-Your-Own-Adventure, visual novel-ish thing called Mounting Release that I thought I would have been done hours ago. It's your standard, generic human male who winds up in Equestria gets lucky by just being male and being there kind of stiche. I'm mostly writing it because I've never written that type of fic before and it's fun to write new things while you're moving from one stressful event to another. (College, am I right? I don't know why I thought I'd be different once I was in and taking classes. I feel exactly the same yet somehow worse.) And the only reason it's not going onto my other account is because it's a psuedo-sequel to another fic (I thought I would have rode my way to completion), Mounting Tension. It would be stupid to split them up.

And both fics are just me making fun of The Etiquette of Mounting and Assuming The Position.

But I'm a lazy kind of gal so I might just post Mounting Release early. I have the starter chapter done and like 45% of Rainbow Dash's route finished. I could just update with the proceeding chapters of each Mane Six girl scenario when I finish them because I'm not exactly making glass vases here. I just need to sit down and churn out the words. Each route writes itself. Kinda. I keep on thinking about the little things. Should I make scenarios really romantic or focus on the hot action? Am I not getting to the sex fast enough? Does each route make sense?

I'm thinking too hard about it but it's better than to be thinking about anything else on my plate.

Outside of those two, I have a Celestia fic that I'm rough-drafting (thanks Bendy for giving me the go-ahead) and a couple of shorties that I'm fiddling with while editing Mounting Release.

In other news, darf is back. (I thought I was already following them but I quickly re-followed) I'm bringing this up because I read Twilight Sparkle Is Lonely and went... Well... I've been thinking for a while that I'd been stagnating, writing wise. I'd reach as good as I was going to get and this was it. But then I read, Twilight Sparkle Is Lonely and the first thought that came to mind, God, I could never, never write anything as good as this at the sentence level. Nope. I was too dumb, my tricks predictable and writing limp as an old dog waiting to be put down. The second thought was time to get back to work.

I'm a scatter-brain and every time I try to force things, it never works.

So I'll be around, writing ponies and keeping this name warm with fresh stories.

But seriously for Mounting Release, if anyone is up for that, I have rough drafts for all of the routes (except Rarity's). Anyone got any ideas on how I could write her route? I'm just not seeing it. Maybe it will hit me later? Outside of that, I'm thinking of adding bonus routes like Celestia and Luna and a harem end.

Mounting Release is a fetishy fic that revolves around pet-play, cultural differences and the best kind of human ignorance money couldn't buy. The man just wants to ride a pony, why's everyone looking like he asked to plow their mother in the parking lot?!

I'll admit I probably shot myself in the foot in the conception of the fic but that's because when I thinking of banging ponies, I think of banging stuffed animals. It's their coat colors and their general appearance that make me think of that so I thought of focusing on something else than the 'sex'. To, you know, pad out the fic. Somehow, it ballooned into this monstrosity but again, it's fun to write.

Please invite me to the google doc when ready. I'll help you out as best I can.
