What If... stories are fascinating on their own. Marvel does it, DC does it as well. It's an alternative take on characters to see how they would be if certain events didn't happen. Of course, ultimately the companies themselves will retcon their own characters, rendering the premise of What If.. stories invalid, though I digress on this...
Anyway, while listening today to Ultravox's song, "Hymn", I thought what if Sunset Shimmer never found the light, rejected Twilight and the Rainbooms' friendship? Of course I don't want to give Hasbro ideas; I would rather that Sunset has truly been redeemed (I simply love redemption stories) and has taken on a much better path. Still, one can't stop fanfic writers from writing What If... stories. In any case, the song "Hymn" would be a fitting theme for Sunset had she stayed on as she was in the first movie, and had rejected the friendship of the Main 5. (am also linking the song here, in case anyone would want some inspiration on a What If... story of that nature, Sunset or any other character involved).
