Greetings my Brony Brethren!
This Saturday, My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic returns from its brief midseason hiatus. In the weeks running up to this point, a fair bit of news for this second part of the season has accumulated, and I will be discussing and speculating on the last bit of it.
We now have an airdate and synopsis for the third episode of Season 5’s fall season, Episode 16 “Made in Manehattan.”

Applejack and Rarity are called to Manehattan to solve a friendship problem; they find themselves helping Coco Pommel with a major project in her neighborhood, but the three soon discover that they've bitten off more than they can chew.
Yes, I realize Equestria Daily quoting calls it Episode 15. But we already know that “Rarity Investigates” is going to be Episode 15, at least when it comes to airdate.
Once again, “Made in Manehattan” did appear on rumored episode list. Equestria Daily and myself speculated that this episode would feature the return of Coco Pommel. And indeed, this synopsis that Coco Pommel will indeed be in this episode. I also speculated that Applejack might be in this episode, mostly hoping that it would allow us to see Babs Seed again. I think I may have been the only one to speculate that. Turns out, I was right!... Again.
Anyway, Applejack and Rarity are both involved because they are called to Manehattan to solve a friendship problem. So, I imagine this must be another cutie map episode. Outside of the season premiere, the cutie map appears to call a pair of ponies who are somehow related to the problem to solve it. That’s what we saw in “Griffon the Brush Off.” I imagine that’s what we’ll see here with Applejack and Rarity. I predict there will be at least a third cutie map episode where Twilight Sparkle and Fluttershy will be called to solve a friendship problem. They’re the last pair of ponies left. I don’t think there’s ever been an episode that prominently features them together. That’ll be a first. Though I’m not too sure which one that could be. I’m guessing either “Brotherhooves Social” or “Scare-Master.” It was revealed at the San Diego Comic Con panel that Fluttershy actually has a brother. Outside of Applejack, they’re the only two that have brothers we know of. (That is assuming Applejack won’t be involved in “Brotherhooves Social” if it is a cutie map episode. She’s already going to be involved with one with Rarity.)
I wonder though about “Scare-Master.” It seems that they’ve completely skipped over it if the list is as accurate as it has already proven itself to be. I imagine they’re saving it for October. You know, for Halloween. It does have “scare” in the title.
Now on to the next one. Equestria Daily also shared a possible spoiler from the MLP card game featuring our favorite bad seed.
Eyup. It’s Babs Seed! And her cutie mark mentioned in “Bloom and Gloom.” The text on the card makes it seem Babs Seed might have to learn how to deal with what to do now that her crusade for her cutie mark is over. This is somewhat reminiscent of one of the themes of “Bloom and Gloom.” Equestria Daily speculates she might be appearing again in “Crusaders of the Lost Mark.” I speculate that as well. Though I speculate further that “Crusaders of the Lost Mark” will feature Starlight Glimmer stealing Babs Seed cutie mark and the cutie marks of other foals, like Diamond Tiara. Perhaps this will also be the episode that will feature the development on her part mentioned by the powers that be behind MLP. And so the CMC will have to go on a crusade for this lost mark, and in the process they will get their cutie marks.

Concerning the next thing, your mileage will vary depending on how much you liked “Daring Don’t.”
According to Equestria Daily, Chiara Zanni, the voice behind Daring Do, told some dude she was PMing with that she recorded something for MLP heavily implied to be Daring Do related about a month ago. So, we’re going to be seeing Daring Do again! However, at the SDCC panel in July, they said they had already started recording for Season 6. And I think I recall hearing that they had finished recording for Season 5 right before or a little after Season 5 premiered. So, I expect we will be seeing Daring Do in Season 6 rather than this season.
The last thing is we got a trailer for the rest of Season 5! Equestria Daily has it here. But let’s all watch it together right below.
A few things of interest in this trailer. We see Rarity and Applejack’s cutie marks flying around to the cutie map. I imagine that’s from “Made in Manehattan.” We also see Twilight get excited when the map is calling somepony, but then get despondent when it’s not her. Could it be possibly that she will never be called by the map again this season? Could be a running joke. What if the possible upcoming episode "The Hooffields and McColts" is a second cutie map episode featuring Applejack? Applejack could get two and Twilight possibly gets nothing. Anyway, we also see Rainbow Dash and Rarity in what I believe is the Wonderbolts stadium in Canterlot. It could be from “Canterlot Boutique” or maybe “Rarity Investigates.” We also see Pinkie Pie excited about something that Mrs. Cake says is a secret. I imagine this is from the enigmatically titled “The One where Pinkie Pie Knows.” We also see the CMC in their clubhouse with what looks like Pipsqueak. Pipsqueak is one of the few other foal characters who doesn’t have a cutie mark. Is he like joining the CMC somehow? Could this possibly involve the possible upcoming episode “Crusaders of the Lost Mark”?
As always, we’ll just have to wait and see.

I do hope we get to see Babs again. She's become one of my favorite supporting-ish characters (mostly thanks to Bad_Seed_72's stories).
And it's nice to finally get a trailer. I gotta say that I love the voice in these trailers. It's so perfectly over-the-top epic that I can't help but laugh whenever I hear it.
I know that my blog reviews are going to get longer after September 19 as I'll most likely review the new MLP episode alongside the new Doctor Who episode. September 26 is going to be an especially busy Saturday. A new MLP episode, a new DW episode, and the premiere of Friendship Games! And then season 5 of Once Upon a Time starts the very next day!
It's weird how these things tend to cluster around the same time.
(looks at card) As if my hostile reaction to the card were not enough, that one's just an edited (and a rather poorly edited) screencap from "Apple Family Reunion", which aired during the third season. I doubt that Babs was forced a cutie mark for any reason other than they just didn't like her very much and wanted to write her out entirely (and I don't think she'd be in "Crusaders of the Lost Mark" for that reason). I figured that, based on what I saw on MLPForums' discussion of the episode that contained it, I and the people there didn't like the fact that Hasbro would be this cruel to Babs Seed after only two episodes. Besides, I want to lure the rights to this character away from Hasbro. The links are solid reasons as to why. Hopefully, when I succeed, I can get her on a clean, previously non-canonical, slate, and start her on the right track. The scissors will have been long gone by the time I celebrate my 10th anniversary of owning the rights to Babs Seed.
