Hello everybody! So while I'm trying to polish this story up and make it better, it has come to my attention that someone over on wattpad has copied and pasted, claiming it is their story! This is really frustrating, as it's not the first issue I've had with plagiarism. I've worked hard on this story for close to a year and for someone to just steal it is very disheartening. They're even replying to comments, saying that they're working on the next chapter, but I have a hunch that actually means waiting until I post the next chapter, and then copying and pasting. The worst part is, people are commenting, believing it's me, the actual author of this story, and they aren't denying it. So now we've got plagiarism, and someone pretending to be me.
I made a wattpad account just so I could send a pm to the user, but if they don't reply within 24 hours, I'm going to have to report the story, which is not something I want to have to do. Please, respect other authors and their work, don't plagiarize! Not only is it illegal, but it's also very frustrating. If you guys are up for it, you could try reporting the story, because this is not okay. I really want to publish more chapters, but not if stuff like this keeps happening. So the apparently the author shares her account with a friend who is notorious for stealing people's work. She deleted it (and informed me that her friend is now super mad at her...), and apologized for the situation. I'm glad that this has been resolved in a mostly mature way, and I hope it doesn't happen again in the future. A huge thanks to everyone who helped me out, big love to you all
