Huh... Interesting. · 9:44am Aug 12th, 2015
I knew I got into video games... But I just noticed something reviewing this play of Payday 2 'Big Oil Heist' ...
I go completely monotone when I'm in full combat mode...
(CAUTION: Rated Teen or better for extreme violence.)
Effectively, when you hear my voice go into flat monotone, I'm in full murder-machine mode. The real action is on day two of the heist.
Myself and 'Thanatos' (seen playing in that vid) went over this twice now. We agree, we work well together. I cover him, he knows I'm covering him, we move as a team. Sonicfa~n... Well, let's just say that his favorite play style in Borderlands 2 is Krieg. Good thing we had Mobile Turret Bonnie to babysit him. His stealth game is good, but his tendency to rush into his actions and break with the rest of the unit (as per the psycho/berserker play style) very quickly get him into trouble.
Also, I never realized how freaking fast I got going with that mouse.
Oooooh, another heister.
Well that takes care of my background noise for the day. Thanks.
Yeah I go full Krieg too.
QUICK, SHOOT ME IN THE FACE!
ANGEL UP, MONSTER DOWN!
And suicide medic in Battlefield, hogod.
Dude, it's not so uncommon.Pull up CVRs when a pilot declares an emergency, and listen to the pilots and air traffic controllers working the problem, or listen to 911 tapes when a cop calls 10-13 and the dispatcher is sending in back-ups.
ALL of them shut out all emotional inflection when TSHTF and restrict themselves to sending information as clearly and dispassionately as they can manage, That ability to shut down emotional affect and dispassionately transmit only pertinent facts, is actually rather highly-prized in the Emergency Services community. We tend to cultivate it.
Ever consider a career change? ;)
