For Those We Love Art Cover (So Far)

It's going to take a bit more work....okay....a lot more work. But, I feel this is a good start! So far I'm satisfied with the way the amulet and Discord turned out, but drawing Celestia has been giving me some problems. I don't know if it is because she is small or just the fact that getting her dimensions right is just a pain in the ass. Regardless, she may not look like much now, but that's just the preliminary sketch. I go back and fix small details after just getting the general shape down on paper.

Anyway, this is about an hour and a half worth of drawing, grimacing, erasing and redrawing. And accidentally using the wrong colored pen on the gem. That's what I get for not drinking my morning coffee with whiskey. (Don't judge me.) So I think I'm going to get some breakfast and sit down to some nice fics and come back to this fresh. Hopefully, I will have the pencil and ink outline finished by the week. I have no idea when coloration will be completed as this will end up being my most detailed work to date. with may or not be saying much considering I don't really draw all that much. With also explains why I apparently had a Deviant Art account that I don't recall setting up. Seriously. Email and username and everything. It was a little weird and made me wonder if I have a doppelganger out there and we just have been avoiding each other so far.
